We all meet at Calum's garage for band practice the next day.

"Where's Michael?" Ashton asks, fixing his bandana.

"It's been an hour! I'm hungry," Calum complains, lying across an amp.

"He'll show up eventually," I say, checking the time on my phone.

"Eventually? He better show up soon or I'm kicking him out the band." Calum groans.

"Michael's not usually late," Ashton frowns.

I frown too. He's usually the first one there. Even before Calum.

We hear a car engine and run outside, dragging Calum along with us.

"Where have you been? We've been waiting for ages and I'm hung-"

Calum falls silent as the three of us watch Fiona and Ally emerge from the car.

"Hi..." Ally trails off, glancing at me.

"Hey-"

"Hurry up Michael, I need to go to the mall to buy some new pyjamas for Lucy's sleepover. Let's just get this over with. And remember, if this takes over an hour, you owe me twenty bucks." Fiona puts her hands on her hips, standing next to Ally.

Michael laughs and takes her wrist, leading her inside. "I bet it's only going to take thirty minutes..."

His voice trails off as he walks inside, Ashton following behind.

Calum, Ally and I stand awkwardly.

"Hi Ally!" He waves.

She waves back, smiling at him.

Silence.

I cough and give Calum a look.

"What? Oh! Um, I'm gonna go inside." He runs off.

I laugh nervously as Ally looks down at the ground.

"I didn't know you were in a band." She speaks up.

"Yeah. It's cool though. We hang out like almost everyday in Calum's garage. That's how we bond."

I cringe at my words as she laughs and tucks her hair behind her ear.

"We should go in." She smiles and tugs at my Sex Pistols shirt.

I smile back and try to hide my blush, holding her sleeve and bringing her in.

I don't know if I should hold her hand. I don't know what to do.

We go inside and I see Michael edging closer to Fiona as they laugh and talk.

Calum and Ashton are in their places, discussing songs.

I sit Ally down on a red chair next to Fiona and sling my guitar over my head.

I fix the microphone and bite my lip.

Ally raised her eyebrow and beams at me. "I didn't know you could sing, either."

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me." I wink at her and laugh, watching Michael take his position as they all start to play.

"This one's called Disconnected."
