Cindy's POV

" Come here, Princess. Let's play." I said to Nova. Clara was very upset these days. She can't even take care of Nova properly. I am afraid that she will end up hurting herself and she is pregnant as well. I can understand how does she feels.

" Mommy!!" Nova said.

" Mommy is sleeping, Baby. Let's go." I said to her. She nodded weakly.

" Is the Princess upset today?" I asked her but she shook her head. I smiled kissing on her forehead.

" What happened to Mommy, Rapunzel?" Nova asked me.

" Mommy is fine, Baby. She will be alright. Let's go. Let's play." I said and we went to the garden but today we were not playing with mud because none of us wanted to make Clara more upset. We were just playing in the garden and at least Nova was smiling now.

" Hey!!!" I heard Ann's voice and found RD and Ann were entering the house. I waved at them.

" How is everything?" RD asked me.

" Not well." I said to her.

" Can understand that." She said. I nodded weakly.

" Where is Clara?" RD asked me.

" In her room. She remains very upset these days. Departure of her father gave her a shock you know?" I said.

" I can understand. I am going to meet her. No worries will try to lighten up her mood." RD said. I nodded weakly.

Ann and I started to play with Nova to keep her away from all the things happening around.

" What happened, Cinder?" Ann asked me.

" I don't know. Everything seems to be fallen out, Ann. I am not able to do anything about it." I said.

" About Steve's father. I didn't know something like that will happen. I mean he didn't deserve an end like this. Not at all. It keeps bothering me all the time. Was I wrong dealing with the situation?" I asked her.

" No, girl. You were not. You were not at all wrong." Ann said.

" Everything has started from the revenge planning." I said.

" You didn't know that will happen." Ann said.

" I know still. I just can't accept that he is gone like that." I said.

" It was meant to happen." She said and I sighed.

" I just don't know." I said and found Beth coming toward us.

" Ma'am, Ms. Dowson is calling you all." She said and we went inside and my eyes widened. I smiled widely seeing Clara having lunch. Actually, it was RD who was feeding her. At least she is having meal. I ran to her and sat next to her. I was smiling like an idiot. I was very happy that Clara was having her meal. She was so messed these days.

After having lunch we sat there on the living room and was talking to cheer Clara up. Though she wasn't responding much but still she was a bit normal now. I hope everything goes well until the last. Then RD and Ann left. Clara went to her room. Nova was looking at her mom. She might thought her mom will take her with herself as well. It can hurt her.

" Princess, Mommy will be sleeping. Let's go. We should sleep as well." I said to her.

She nodded and I picked her up in my arms and went to our room. I started to tell her stories. I don't know when I dozed off when I woke up I found Steve was hugging me from back and sleeping while I was hugging Nova tightly. She was sleeping peacefully in my arms. I kissed on her forehead and smiled.

" Where is mine?" I heard Steve. I turned a bit to see him.

" You haven't slept yet?" I asked him.

" No, I was looking at the Angels." He said and I sighed.

" What happened?" He asked me.

" Nothing. When have you come back?" I asked him.

" Awhile back." He said.

" Why didn't you wake us up?" I asked him.

" You were sleeping peacefully. So, I decided not to." He said.

" You have met Clara?" I asked him.

" Yes. She was sleeping." He said. I sighed.

" RD and Ann came today. RD feed Clara her lunch and medicines today." I said.

" She did a good thing though. Handling Clara is getting hard these days." Steve said and sighed. I kept silent for awhile.

" You go. Get freshen up. I will serve the dinner. Nova hasn't eaten anything yet as well." I said to him. He nodded and went to the washroom. I wake Nova up.

" Mommy?!" She said.

" Mommy is sleeping, Baby." I said and she nodded. I got freshen up along with Nova.

We had dinner. The whole time of dinner everyone remain silent. No one tried to say anything. I took Nova with us to sleep with us. She will feel better then. It was the middle of night when I heard Steve calling me.

" Steve!!! What happened?" I asked him rubbing my eyes.

" Wake up, Babe. Gotta go to the hospital." He said and I looked at him weirdly.

" Hospital!!!" I asked him weirdly. "Why?! What happened?! Is everything ok?" I asked him.

" Babe, bring Nova with you. No time to explain. Clara is not feeling well. Patrick took her to the hospital. We should leave for hospital as well." I said.

" What?!" I could only say that.

" Babe, hurry up. I am taking the car out." He said and got out of the room.

I was too shocked. I just got freshen up and picked Nova up in my arms. I took my phone and called RD to tell her everything. We reached the hospital and found RD and Ann already there. RD took Nova in her arms. I was really very tensed.

" You guys took her home. She can be panicked suddenly waking up here." Steve said to RD.

" But Clara..." Ann was saying.

" We are here. Don't worry." Steve said.

RD and Ann left though they didn't want to. We were waiting for the doctor to come out and tell us what's wrong with Clara.

" What happened suddenly?" I asked Patrick.

" Don't know. Suddenly she woke up in the middle of the night and started to say that she is having an extreme pain in her stomach." He said and my heart trembled in fear. The baby!!! God, save everyone.

" Don't worry. Everything will be fine." I said. He nodded weakly.

We were waiting and suddenly the door of the cabin opened. Josh came out of the cabin.

" What happened, Josh?" I asked him.

" Everything ok?" Steve asked him. He was still silent.

" Josh?" Patrick said. Josh took a deep breath.

" What's wrong?" Steve asked.

" Miscarriage." Josh said and I looked at him weirdly. What?!! I felt like everything spinning around me. This what I was afraid of. I felt Steve holding me tightly.

" How is Clara?" Patrick asked and I was wondering how can he remain so calm even after listening to this news.

" She is sleeping." Josh said and he nodded. " You can go and meet her."

Patrick nodded and entered the cabin. He reached the door and opened it with shivering hand. We could clearly see him wiping his tears before entering the cabin. I clutched on Steve tightly. How are they going to handle this war against themselves!!!!!
