Cindy's POV

" I don't want to hear anything else, Jack. Just find out who the hell is behind this all." Steve gritted at the guy standing in front of him.

" You don't worry, Sir. We will find them out like we have found out Andy and Daisy last time." He assured Steve. What?!! They had found them out?! But why? Was Andy disturbing them too? May be.

" Alright. Don't hurt them. Just keep them captured. I will see what I can do for them." Steve said.

" Alright, Sir. Whatever you say." Jack said.

" Keep your eyes open. They may try to reach Chloe again." Steve said to him.

" Sure, sir. If they try to reach Ms. Portwalt then will not go back alive. I assure you." He said and I looked at him weirdly.

" Alright then you may go now." Steve said.

" Take care, sir." He said and walked out of there.

" Can I ask you a question?" I asked Steve.

" Sure." He said.

" Why did you captured Andy and Daisy?" I asked him. He sighed.

" Because they were after you." He said.

" They were after me?" I asked him and he nodded.

" You remember someone attacked you in your apartment?" He asked me and I nodded.

" They did that. They wanted to kill you." He said.

" But why?" I asked him.

" To destroy all the evidences of their action." He said. " You are the biggest one. So, they wanted to finish you." He said and I sighed. " But you don't worry about that nothing will happen to you until I am alive. I will not let anyone hurt you ever." He said.

" What have you done to them?" I asked him.

" I really wanted to torture them until they beg for their death but I don't think you would like that idea so I let the cops handle this matter. But I assure you they got exactly what they deserve from the cops as well so I don't actually care about it. No one dares to point finger at Mrs. Blankfein and they dared to shoot her. They crossed the limit. So no mercy for them." He said and I sighed.

" They have hurt Stella badly. If only Mr. Campbell found them out he would have made them pay for everything." I said to him.

" So, you want me to kill them by me? I have no problem, Babe. If you want me to do so then I will just do that." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" No, let the cops handle it." I said. " I was just talking about Stella's family. If they reached Andy and Daisy before you then they would make them pay for everything." I said to him. " And it won't be a good thing. We shouldn't interfere and do something illegal. There are laws and legislations for that." I said to him.

" Yeah, I also thought about that. Beside, Stella Anderson needs her family the most this time. If they stay distracted about those criminals then it won't help Stella at all. So, I decided to let cops handle this." He said. "But..." He stopped.

" But..?" I asked him.

" But if they want then they can take them away from police custody. You don't have any idea what Flynn actually can do." He said.

I really don't know much about Flynn Campbell. I just know as much as Stella has told me ever. I just know that Stella is in head over heels love with him. But I always feel like that guy is a big mystery himself. I don't know if I am actually right or wrong.

" Yeah, he is a mystery." I said and Steve chuckled.

" He is your boss. Don't talk about him like that. He will fire you." He said. I rolled my eyes.

" He won't." I said.

" How do you know he won't?" He asked me.

" Because I am very good at my work. There is no reason to fire me. Keep daydreaming about that." I said.

" Yeah, right." He said.

" When will Chloe wake up?" I asked him.

" Don't worry, Babe." He said. " She will be fine." He chuckled. " Wasn't it you who was trying to console me awhile ago? Now what happened, Babe?" He asked me.

" Nothing happened. Just was saying. And Matt hasn't reached yet." I said.

" I can't believe Chloe is dating someone and I don't know that. She always shares everything with me." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" They are not dating. Not yet. But they will very soon." I said to him.

" I have to keep my eyes on her and have to find out who this Matt guy actually is." He said.

" Sure. You won't be disappointed. He is perfect for Chloe." I said.

" Let's see. Don't trust people that easily." He said.

" I think this time you can." I said.

" You and Chloe both are kids." He said

" Then why have you gotten married with a kid?" I asked him angrily.

" You look cute when you get angry. Look, your nose tip turned into red. You are looking like an angry bird." He said. I gritted my teeth.

" Don't irritate me. I am already worried about Chloe. What kind of husband are you? Here I am dying with tension and you are teasing me?!! It's not fair." I said.

" Everything is fair in love and war." He said and I glared at him which didn't work on him as always. He kept smiling at me sweetly. I sighed deeply and heard someone clearing his throat.

I turned and found Matt standing there with a girl who will be in her early 30s. Who is she now?! 

" Hey, Matt." I said as he reached me.

" Where is she?" He asked me.

" Relax. She is fine." Steve said and Matt gave a confused look at him.

" He is Chloe's cousin and my..." I stopped for a second. I could feel Steve's gaze on me. " My husband." I said and Matt looked at me weirdly.

" I didn't know you are married." He said confusedly. But then smiled a bit. " Matthew Winsdor." He said extending his hand toward Steve. Steve shook his hand smilingly.

" Steve Blankfein." Steve said. " Nice to meet you."

" This is my sister Edna Williams and that is -" he looked back tried to find someone. " Where have you left your husband?" He asked his sister.

" Don't know. He will eventually find us out. Don't worry." Edna said rolling her eyes.

" Don't mind her. They have fought earlier." Matt said and I chuckled. "Can I meet her?" He asked us. Steve nodded and we took him to the cabin where Chloe was.

" I think you were right." Steve said.

" About what?" I asked him.

" About Matt." He said.

" How do you know?" I asked him.

" Guys instinct." He winked at me.
