Steve's POV

" She will be waiting for you." Joanna said and I sighed.

" Ok. I will go and meet her. No worries." I said.

" Ok. Thanks for helping me." She said.

" Alright. Anything else?" I asked her.

" No. It's ok. I will manage." She said.

" Ok, then." I said and walked out of there.

I took my phone and called Chloe. Why isn't she picking the call up?! Urrrggh!!! Everyone dies when I need them. F*ck!!! I texted her to call me as soon as she is free.

" Where are you going?" Clara asked me.

" Have some important thing to do." I said.

" What did you think about that?" She asked me.

" About what?" I asked her.

" You know very well what I am talking about. It was very hard to make her believe in you. Now don't make things messed up again." She said to me.

" I am trying to handle it." I said to her.

" Trying won't help." She said.

" I am doing something." I said.

" Finish this now. I don't want any outsider create drama in my house I hope you get my points. If anyone tries to hurt my brother or her wife I will make them regret their birth." She said unnecessarily loudly.

" I am in front of you. You don't have to shout like this, Clara." I said to her.

" But Dorothy was having problem listening to my words. Just helped her a bit." She said looking behind me and I turned to found Dorothy going to her room. " Like mother like daughter. Venomous reptile." Clara said.

" I will take care of it. You don't be worried." I said to her.

" I don't know why the hell do you tolerate her." She said frustratedly.

" I thought love can win everything but in that I forgot that some people just don't deserve love. They always deserve hatred. Love is made for human not for evils." I said.

" At least you understand that now. Good for you." She said.

" I should have leaned that long back." I said.

" But still it hasn't spoiled anything. You can still handle things." She said.

" I will. I will not let anyone spoil my life again. I don't want to suffer anymore. If I lose her this time that will be end of my life. There is no meaning of life without her. You know that very well." I said.

" You will not suffer again. This time everything will be fine. Just do everything clearly." She said.

" I will. Don't worry." I said and walked out of the house.

I think it's time to erase the mistake from my life. Joanna always tried to act so nice in front of everyone but actually she is nothing like she wants to show the world. She is just like the other step mom in the world. Just difference is she acts like she is very nice. But then stabs at back.

You guys must be thinking if I know everything then why do I act so polite with her. Yeah, I choose to play her game with her only. I don't want to anyone point fingers at our family. This is why I tolerate her and my so called father thinks everything is fine. I would never bother about her if my mom wouldn't say that when she was going. I really don't care about him. Just kept the relation with him because I had to for my mother. He doesn't care about us as well. So, things will never change in this.

I got in the car and got a call from Chloe. I sighed.

" Hello!!" I said to her. " Where were you?" I asked her.

" Was dying." She said.

" Yes, I was thinking the same thing about that." I said.

" What?!!" She said angrily.

" Nothing, angry bird. Just reach in the address I give you in 20 minutes. Make sure my wife is with you." I said to her.

" But we are going somewhere with a friend." She said excitedly.

" Who is that friend?" I asked her.

" Miss Universe." She said.

" Who?" I asked her.

" Gina Fransis?" I asked her.

" Yes. How do you know her?" She asked me.

" She is your friend for real?!" I asked her.

" No. We are fake friends." She said irritatingly.

" Alright. Does Cindy know her?" I asked her.

" Yes, we are very close friends." She said and I ran my fingers through my hair. What the hell!!!

" Listen to me very carefully." I said and explained her everything.

" What are you talking about?" She asked me.

" It's true." I said

" How many times has Candice tried to tell you that? Every time you have just ignored it. See? This happens when you don't listen to us." She started to lecture me.

" Please, don't lecture me now. Enough now." I said.

" What will you do now?" She asked me.

" I don't actually care about anyone else but my wife. If these keeps going on then she can misunderstand me again. I can't take the risk. I will tell everything to them face to face. You girl reach the address I am texting you but send my wife out of the office I will pick her up from there. Don't tell her anything yet. I mean don't tell that to anyone." I said.

" Ok. As you say." She said.

" Alright then. Bye." I said and hung up.

I called Patrick. He picked it up after 3 rings.

" Hello?" He said.

" Where are you?" I asked him.

" In the office. Why?" He said.

" Busy?" I asked him.

" Not really." He replied. " You need anything?" She asked me.

" Yeah. Ending Joanna's game here." I said.

" Good decision. Then your sister won't be ignited time to time." He said and I rolled my eyes though he will not be able to see me.

" Alright. Meet me in 20 minutes at the Cafe Oakland." I said to him.

" On my way. See you there." He said and hung up.

I started the car. I can't lose my wife at any cost. I will not let that happen again. I heard what Joanna has said to Cindy yesterday. I am happy that she has learned to trust me. Soon she will learn to love me as well. I can't wait to see that day. God!!! Make it happen soon. All my patience will run out.
