Steve's POV

" Joanna!!" I could only say finding my step mom standing there with my step brother and sister.

" Surprise!!!" Dorothy squealed.

" Who is there?" Clara came and found them. Her facial expressions changed at once. She kept looking at them coldly. Specially at Joanna.

" Steve, where is my phone? I have -" I heard Cindy who stopped in between finding my step mother standing there with her kids.

" Come inside, Mrs. Blankfein." Clara said and left. Cindy was about to go with Clara but Joanna called her.

" Cindy Grace!!" She called her. Cindy stopped right there and turned.

" Mrs. Blankfein." Cindy said.

" Glad to see you here." Joanna said.

" Umm...same to you." Cindy said.

" You guys get freshen up lunch will be served soon. Let's talk later." I said to them. I knew I Cindy was feeling uncomfortable. They left and Cindy was looking anywhere but me.

" Hey!!! What were you saying earlier?" I asked her. She just shook her head.

" Nothing." She said looking at the ground. I walked toward her and hold her arms.

" Or may be you don't want to tell me." I said to her. She looked at me and I was shocked finding her in tears. I cuped her face and wiped her tears.

" What happened? Why are you crying?" I asked her pulling her closer.

" Nothing." She said again.

" There is something but you don't want to tell that to me, right?" I asked her and she shook her head.

" You don't trust me." I said. She shook her head again.

" I do trust you." She said.

" Then tell me?" I asked her.

" They hate me." She said.

" Who?" I asked her.

" Your family." She said.

" And who told you that?" I asked her.

" I know that." She said.

" You don't know that. Don't act crazy." I said to her.

" I know it." She said. " I can feel the hatred in their eyes."

" No. They don't hate you. Don't worry." I said to her.

" How do you know that they don't?" She asked me.

" Because no one can hate a girl like you." I said and she rolled her eyes.

" There are a lot of people who hates me." She said pouting like a kid. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her.

" Then they are not human they are evils. Because only evils hate Angels" I said and she looked at me for awhile then chuckled.

" You are calling your step family evil?" She asked me.

" They don't hate you." I said.

" What if they do?" She asked me.

" Then they are also evil." I said and she giggled.

" True." I said to her.

" Yeah, right." She said wiping her face properly.

" What happened?" We found Clara. She reached us and hold Cindy's hand.

" Nothing happened." I said.

" Then why is Cindy crying?" She asked.

" Something went into my eyes. See?" Cindy told her and I chuckled inwardly.

" Do I look like a fool, Cindy?" She asked Cindy and Cindy pouted again.

" Trust me I wasn't crying." Cindy said.

" She was crying for teddy bear." I said and Cindy glared at me.

" You and I, we both know that Cindy is not a girl who will keep playing with teddies." Clara said. " That witch must have said something, right?" She gritted. " I will kick them out of our house. Wait." She was going upstairs but both Cindy and I stopped her.

God!!! Clara is always an innocent girl but God helps if you mess up with her. She will rip you apart. And Joanna has already done that when she tried to take her away from Patrick. And God helps her. Rest of the life she has to suffer for that.

" I will behead her. How dare she say something to you?" Clara said.

" Clara, she hasn't said anything. Relax." Cindy said. We both was stopping her from going upstairs.

" What happened here?" We hard Patrick's voice and turned. He reached us along with Josh. Patrick just hugged Clara tightly. She calmed down a bit then started to cry.

" They have again come here to destroy our happiness." Clara said.

" No, Babe. They won't. I am here. Don't worry. They will not be successful even if they try to." Patrick said.

" Even if they are here to do something like that they will never be successful. Because we will not let them do that." Cindy said. I nodded. I found Josh standing there with a blank expression. I shook my head.

" I know you don't like them but just tolerate for awhile." I said to Josh and he rolled his eyes.

" I hate you." He said to me.

" No, you don't." I said.

" Papa!!!" We all heard Nova's voice and she ran to Josh. Josh smiled widely. He bend down and picked her up in his arms then gave her a kiss on her cheek.

" My Princess." He said hugging her tightly and I chuckled. " What has my Princess done today?" He asked her.

" Played with mud with this kid." Clara said pointing Cindy.

" Hey, it was fun." Cindy complained.

" Yes, it was." Nova said. I chuckled. Some kids never grows up they always remain kids.

" Go, get freshen up both of you. We will be having lunch together." I said to them. Nova walked toward Cindy and started to play with her hair. Cindy chuckled tiredly. She hold her hair and pulled them up into a bun. Nova pouted hard.

" We will play later, Princess." Cindy said and Nova nodded. She chuckled.

I don't find any reason for someone to hate Cindy. She is beautiful, understanding, easygoing, talented, smart and loving girl. I don't find any flaws in her. She is just perfect the way she is. May be she has flaws but those flaws doesn't matter to me. May be they will hate her who only counts her flaws in their point of view. For me she is just perfect and that's what matters only. Who cares about the world. Because I don't.

" What happened to you now? Why are you standing like statue of liberty?" Cindy asked me and I chuckled.

" Nothing. I was just wondering how can 3 inch girl have 6 meters long hair!!!" I said and she glared at me.

" You..." She tried to catch me but I ran away from her reach. " Won't you sleep in the same bed tonight? I will see you then. Mark my words." She said to me.

" Sure, Babe. I have no problem. You can see me." I said winking at her.

" Eww... pervert." She said. I chuckled her childishness.
