After I've given Shawn a tour of the entire villa, which he nicknamed 'sleeping beauty's castle' due to the fact it looks like an 'actual, real life palace!' we decide to spend the afternoon by the pool.

I leave our luggage in the master bedroom, yet to be unpacked, and start getting changed into my swimwear. The dress is just over my head and I'm left in just my thong when the door opens, Shawn typically stood behind it. He covers his eyes and stammers an apology, treading over to his suitcase. "I-I'm sorry. Just need my swim shorts." He mutters, stumbling over his feet.

"Shawn, stop being such a dork." I say, removing his hands from over his eyes. "Nothing you haven't seen before, is it?"

His sight falls straight on my breasts as his eyebrows raise and a smirk pulls at his lips, completely ignoring my rhetorical question. "Holy fuck, Rora."

I roll my eyes, picking up my bikini from the open suitcase. "Don't you have to change too?"

"I'd rather just watch you." He comments, flopping heavily backwards on the bed before I can warn him about how flimsy it is. As soon as his body touches the mattress there's a crack, and before I know it, the bed frame snaps in two and crashes to the floor. His eyes widen in a slow motion like moment, causing me to burst out laughing. Time appears to speed up again as he grabs my hands and pulls me down on top of him, breaking the bed even more. "Sorry." He whispers guiltily, his large hands drifting down my ass. I'm crying with laughter at this point, the image of his terrified face carved into my memories.

"Don't... be... sorry." I manage to say between laughter, covering my face with my hands. "I can't believe you broke our bed."

"There's other beds in your castle, right?" He presumes, propping himself up on his elbows whilst I'm still straddling him. I shake my head.

"Nope. There's my old crib from when I was a baby, but I don't think we'd both fit in." I laugh, my hands cupping his face. "We'll just sleep on the mattress, fuck the bed."

"Perfect." He leans up and kisses me softly. Like my friends said: we are practically a couple. We kiss like a couple, we embrace like a couple, we make love like a couple. But maybe if we don't explicitly say it out loud, the commitment of being in a relationship won't have the chance to scare me into leaving him. Because I actually, genuinely like him. A lot.

He pulls away gently, brushing my hair out of my eyes. We share a small moment, and for that one second all I could feel was complete and utter affection for the boy in front of me. I pulled him back in, reattaching our lips for a deeper and more passionate kiss. It doesn't take long for us to melt into each other, and I never want to pull away.

Eventually I clamour off him and onto the floor, picking up where I left off in putting my bikini on. Shawn follows my example, ridding himself of his travel clothes and changing into some swim shorts. "We look hot." I announce, laughing as Shawn approaches me and hugs me from behind. I slide my phone off the side and snap a photo of us in the mirror, Shawn's arm around my neck and his head rested on top of mine. A couple.

I grab my beach bag, filled with sunscreen, sunglasses and my book, and lead us out of the villa and over to the pool. He holds my hand tightly the whole way there, explaining some songs off his album as I listen intently.
