ZYLAN'S POV
We're here again, in this classroom, listening to our teacher who is busy talking about his lesson.
The class is over. Finally! I can relax my brain for a while. Sheesh! That subject is tough. Well, every class is hard now.
"Zylan!" Ah fuck. She's here.
I turned around and face her. She hugs me very tight. I quickly pushed her away. I looked around and I saw Sydney, staring at my direction. This girl here, will ruin my life, that's for sure!
"Fuck! What do you want?!" I snapped. Laine, she's my ex-fling.
"Don't you wanna hang around?" She asked. I studied her outfit. Ugh,it's showing too much skin. For fuck's sake! Doesn't she know the proper dress code here?!
"No thanks I'm busy." And I walked out.
I met up my gang in an empty classroom. This classroom was never used because it's too small to fit many students so we decided to turn this as one of our hang outs.
"Man, that girl doesn't know how to move on." Kent said and eat his food.
"She just see that you're a rich and you can buy her anything." Drake commented.
"Well, that's not gonna happen. Master already learned her lesson from her past so she won't be a fool." Ace said.
"Let's not talk about her. It will only ruin my day--"
"Zylan?"
All of my gangmates looked behind me. I know that voice. It's her.
"Sydney?" I walked up to her.
"Can we talk?"
"Later yes, right now, no."
"I don't have a lot of free time like you. Please?" She's a student council President.
"Fine." I sighed. I turn around to look at my gangmates and signaled them to leave. They left while giving me a stare. I rolled my eyes on them.
I sit up and so did she. I can hear her letting out a couple deep breaths before speaking.
"What is it?" I asked. I can't stay in a room with her for long. It feels a little awkward.
"About Lynx. Can I visit her?"
"No." I said coldly. She doesn't deserve to see Lynx. She left. She made my daughter live without a mother for fucking two years. Now tell me, does she deserve to be with Lynx? I don't think so.
"Why? I want to see her everyday." She said and stared at me. I looked away.
"I let you see her yesterday, that's enough."
"It can't be enough! I'm her mother Zylan! I deserve to see--"
"Deserve to see her? Really? Are making me laugh." I laughed bitterly.
"You left Lynx. You left me. Us. You call yourself a mother? You don't have a right to be her mother." I stared at her, eye to eye. "You forgot that you have a family you left for two years. You can enjoy your life now. I'm not gonna force myself and Lynx to be with you. We live for two years without your presence and living like that for the rest of our lives will be better." I said and stood up.
"Forget about me and Lynx, live with your life like you never met me and have Lynx." I walked out.
****
The whole day is tiring. Lessons here, discuss there. But that doesn't matter. The whole day, I've been avoiding Sydney all day. I tried to avoid being seen by her. I know I hurt her feelings about what I said earlier but that's the truth. She left and she'll deal it's consequences.
