Shoto's POV
Days have passed since Y/n coming back, but I haven't spoken to her. The sports festival is coming up and I need to talk to her before then, since her father will have expectations for her during the festival, and so will my father for me. And to prove a point I'm not going to use my fathers quirk only my mothers. I'll win with her quirk only. Back to the point I need to talk to her soon. If I don't we could be even more distant, then we already are. A tint of blush brightened my cheeks thinking of what stupid things I could do to mess up by speaking with her. I never knew my friendship with Y/n would become a desire, It never really started to be that until I saw that she was speaking to more guys then me, Midoriya is fine, Iida too but now she's actually talking to Denki, Kirishimi, and dare I think it Katsuki. I've gotten so upset I want to grab her and pull her away from talking to the others, but not like seclude her to only me. I want her to acknowledge me, pay attention to me like she's currently doing to the others, and she's not one to talk to many people so that's also what's bothering me! Why is she suddenly a extrovert?! She's making plans to go to a arcade with Bakugo's squad and plan on getting lunch with a dude from class 1-B! I just want her to talk to me again. All of my thoughts are scattered though I was snapped back to reality when I got a message. It was from Y/n. I opened the message and it said "Please stop looking at me during class, it's been bothering me." I replied with a simple ok, I'm sorry but she just left me on read. Falling on my bed I closed my eyes leaving my mind to be scattered with y/n once more.
Y/n POV
I've trained and trained, but I've been going out to hangout with people too. Katsuki's group is actually pretty cool though their too loud that you can't hear your thoughts. I went out to eat lunch with a guy in class 1-b I think his last name was Kaibara. He wanted to hangout again but I declined. It bothered me that he ate... weirdly. BUT! I've been visiting my fathers agency. I've been avoiding Todoroki but because I have, he's probably annoyed or mad that I'm not talking to him but to others. I can always sense him looking at me with such a cold glare it terrifies me so I decided to message him to stop. I think I did the right thing he said ok and apologized. I was sitting in Shoto's old hiding spot when my father came home. "Y/n?!" I got off the space and went to him.
"Yes sir?" I asked as I reached the last step of the stairs. He looked off, as if he had been crying. That's when it hit me. All of my mothers photos had been put away, we do this anytime it's the anniversary of her death. "Father...What do you need me to do?..." I asked quietly as I lowered my head. He looked at me as he stated. "Cook....her favorite food....I'll be in my room..." He let out a tear as he slowly went upstairs and enter his room. Leaving me to cook the food. As I cooked I started to have memories of her. *flashback*
"Enji you should really stop being hurtful to Shoto and start paying attention to your other children." M/n quiet voice spoke as she looked at Enji Todoroki.
"Oh come on M/n you know my other children are flawed, you got lucky your child was perfect she inherited both of your quirks you have a powerful child M/n you should train her." Enji said as he looked away from M/n.
"Enji you know for a fact I didn't expect for her to be a perfect split, and about training her I'll train her when she's at the proper age. I want her to have a good childhood Enji, you should give all your children a good childhood too." M/n voice got sterner as she spoke. I looked at the end of the room. There I noticed a boy. He was hiding behind a door. He had different colored eyes and hair. This was the first time you've ever actually looked at him. He was always with his mother whenever my mother came over to speak to Endeavor. Without thinking I left my mothers side and walked towards the different color eyed boy, though I stopped seeing him startled had made me nervous. He soon calmed down and I walked towards him. "Hello..." the boy spoke quietly as he didn't want his father to hear him.
"Hi..." I spoke as quiet as him. The boy started to walk away, but not wanting him to leave I had decided to follow him. "Where are we going?" I spoke to him as we pasted the room where his mother was in.
"My room. It's the only place I can be alone." He said as he slide open a door. His room was simple it had his bed, a bedside, and a closet.
"So your name is Shoto right?" I asked as I sat on his bed.
"Yes, your y/n right?" He asked as he stared into your e/c eyes. He wasn't like his siblings it wasn't just how he looked it was how he was raised, from what you heard in your mothers argument with Endeavor his siblings have been neglected, while Shoto gets all the attention. Even though that would be "better" then being left alone, he gets horrible training that hurts him daily. It made you sad thinking that they all are in this bad home. You were so lost in thought you didn't hear Shoto until he nudged your shoulder. "Huh?" You asked with a puzzled expression.
"Do you want to play a game? I have cards. If not we can always read a story..." he said as he looked away. "Sure" is what came out of your mouth. You and Shoto played with the cards and even start building a house with them. It wasn't until you heard the worried yells of your mother is that you realized how long you've been away from your mother. "Y/n?! I'm sorry sweetie I'm sure you didn't want to hear my argue. Can you come back to mommy now?" You could hear your mother yell as she passed the hallway not glancing shoto's room.
"Want me to walk you to your mom?" He said as he placed the final card on the house. Though I couldn't reply in time before Enji Todoroki barged into the room making the house of cards fall down. "SHOTO HAVE YOU SEEN Y/N?!" His yell made me and Shoto stumble back. "Oh there you are, what are you doing in this room? Your mother is running around the house like a mad man" He stated in a stern voice. As a instinct reaction you ran behind Shoto as if he were your protector. "I'm sorry! I just wanted to play cards with Shoto. Please don't be mad at me or him." Your voice trembled as you spoke. Soon your mother came into the room and pulled you into a hug. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be mad." As your mother apologized you saw Shoto picking up the cards and putting them back in the box. "Let's get going now. We shouldn't make your father worry now should we." Your mother said as she grabbed your hand. You waved at Shoto goodbye as you left their estate.
*flashback end*
As you finished looking back in the past your father walked into the kitchen. "Is the food done yet?" His eyes were droopy and puffy. His nose was runny and he was wearing the hoodie that your mother got him. "Almost, have a seat I'll serve you" you poured a glass of wine for your father and served you and him the food. As you ate your father started crying. "You act just like her.... you look like her.... sometimes you sound like her. God damnit y/n I miss m/n so much!" Your father yelled as he slammed his fists on the table. His weeping tears broke your heart knowing your father can not let himself forgive himself. It was your mothers way she felt she needed to go. She knew it was him or her, if she chose herself she would feel regret and hate herself. And since it was him she felt relieved that she was able to save the love of her life. You got from the table and hugged your father. Tears smudged your shirt. Your father never cries in front of you until he can't any longer he tries to fill the void that's in his heart with tears he stocks up, and once he lets it out it becomes empty again. You spent most of the night holding your fathers head until he was ready to sleep. When you entered your room. You finally let your tears fall. You wanted comfort like you comforted your father and Shoto was about to provide that. To try and not message Shoto you grabbed your pillow and entered his hiding spot there you slept with his aura beside you to make you feel comfortable.
