Chapter 21.

Y/n POV
I used my quirk I've never felt my body feel so weak, but I couldn't stop, the closer I got to hosu city the more destroyed it looked. Smoke covered the area and what I believe I was able to glimpse at as I sprinted was no other then a nomu but I thought there was only one? For the matter I continued to run. The closer I got to the location the more worried I got what if I got there and all I saw was a dead body!? I prayed that it wasn't the case. No matter how many injuries Midoriya made for himself he wouldn't die right? I had taken a rest so I could check the location I was so close! I decided to use shadow control to create a silent walkway for me to run and not create noise. I had heard a crash and I knew that I had made it. What had surprised me was that this situation was more then I had expected not only was there more injured people but Shoto was there. What was worse was who they were fighting. The hero killer. Native a pro hero was incredibly injured, he needed to get help quickly. Same with Iida. As I analyzed the situation I made a mistake. I had released my shadow control and had made a noise as I fell onto a buildings roof. 'Shit-'
"Looks like we're not alone." And as expected he looked my direction. I silently used my quirk to grab them and pull them away but thanks to the hero killers aim he startled me when he threw a knife my way. "Ack..!-" I blew my cover thanks to a mistake!
"No.. No Y/n you're not here are you?.." I heard Shoto say as his expression change to concern.
"I'm sorry but I am." I came out of hiding and jumped off the roof I landed in between of them. The hero killer started sneering. "How many more will come? Everyone in your school?" He started laughing.
"Sadly no. You see not everyone has a speed quirk." I started using my quirk to grab them all of course I grabbed the weak then I proceeded to grab the ones that were standing. Of course that included Shoto.
"I'm sorry but I'll be doing something stupid;; but I don't want anyone else hurt." Shoto tried to move towards me but he had now realized that they were all engulfed by the shadows.
"Y/n?! What're you doing?!?" Shoto said.
"Release us we can help you fight!" Midoriya had also yelled out.
"I'm sorry but I'm a hero that puts others first. Let's hope I make it." I gave a smile as I forced my shadow to take them all away. Shoto yelling for me soon fading out in the distance.
"What a childish act. You really think you can live without anyone's help? And by apprehending me? That's the most hilarious thing I've ever seen!" I smiled and slowly walked over to him.
"Sir, I don't intend to live by this act  of childish heroism. I want to live yes but I don't want others to see a foolish demise I have chosen for myself." Once more even in my weak state I used shadow control to create a shrinking barrier. He quickly looked at his surroundings and tried to get out of it. I used my speed to block him. He tried to throw a knife but it barley missed me. "Sir don't worry I won't be killing you it's impossible for me to do so I'm just intending to detain you. And as I feel your injuries from my friends have hurt you enough." As I jumped towards him to tackle him my hand released the group.
"If your still alive tell my dad and Shoto I hope they get well!" After that sentence all of a sudden the shrinking barrier reached the middle and I got stabbed in almost every nerve that had impacted a blade. I really think I'm going to die. Tears left my eyes and everything blacked out...
Shoto's POV
Y/n detained us and we were now being forced to leave the alley way. Midoriya had to detain me before I hurt anyone with my quirk as I tried to release myself to save y/n. My voice ached from yelling and my eyes blurred from tears. I hardly ever cried after I had gotten used to my father's pain towards me but now y/n was in danger for losing her life, and she smiled! My chest tightened not only was it for being worried but it was that the shadow had gotten tighter.
"Eh?! Todoroki-Kun does this usually happen??" Midoriya said as the thing that contained us started to shrink.
"N-no. No! Wait how would I know?? You think she contains me in this??" But as we panicked on how smaller it got the shadow faded away quickly letting us all go.
Wait why'd she let us go?! I looked at Midoriya and Iida who was now able to move and we all agreed on going to save her. Native had to stay since his injuries were too drastic. I had bursted to an all out sprint. Worried for what I could see. As we made it to the alley way I was horrified. Y/n was stabbed everywhere. I quickly went to go help her, Midoriya and Iida had got to get something to detain the hero killer. He seemed unconscious from what had happened. As I grabbed y/n blades and all, her blood was slowly dripping out of the stab wounds. If it wasn't the perfect time the pro hero's had finally came. Luckily but sadly y/n's father was not one of them. Some grabbed the hero killer and two of them took y/n from my arms... *just the nomu incident with stein. Now ONWARDS TO DE HOSPITAL.*
As we made it to the hospital we weren't allowed to know what happened to y/n since it was now confidential. But we were allowed to know that she was sent straight to surgery and was in the ICU. We had also been told that her father bursted in as worried as he's every been. I believe he had also asked to see me but they didn't allow it. We all had left with a bit of injuries and damages, y/n got the worst of it. I wanted to go see her but if her dad were there he'd be out to get me. (Sorry if I keep interrupting but yes they do get to laugh at Todoroki and him destroying hands it's just I'm making a tragic moment for you) it wasn't until I got to leave was when I saw him. It was the morning and he was coming in to see her. I was originally going to walk past him but I couldn't.
"Is she okay?" He stopped and responded his voice was weak and sore. "She still hasn't woken up and her nerves are going to take a while to heal. But she'll be alright..." he turned around and faced me.
"I'm saying this because she would appreciate it. Would you like to go see her?" I looked at his eyes they were red ,and he looked like he hadn't slept, his hair was messy. This was his second tragedy that fell upon his family. First his wife and now his daughter. I nodded and went back into the hospital. When we entered her room she was wired to a ton of machines. "It's going to take a while for her to be able to move her legs." (ANOTHER NOTE SORRY BUT UM JUST THINK THAT STAIN HAD LIKE TRIPLE THE AMOUNT OF BLADES ON HIM :D it's kinda inaccurate rn but forgive meeee)
As her father told me this his eyes filled with sorrow.
"Sir, sorry if this sounds rash but at least she's treatable... you know since she wasn't.." he looked up at me and I felt like he was going to yell me to leave.
"You're right. That woman truly destroyed me... she poisoned me with pain, false hope, and lies." The words that left his mouth shocked me. From what y/n had mentioned everything still revolved her mother being kind but mistreated, and now she's the one who's mistreated others.
"But sadly that pain and sadness made me believe it was love.. I believed that M/n would one day stop hurting me and embrace me truly.. but no. She didn't even love me. She fell for someone else, and thanks to that she tried to get rid of any trace of what we created..." he stopped speaking tears dropped down his face that's when I realized.. M/n tried to get rid of y/n.
"How sir? If you don't mind me asking." He squeezed y/n's hand and continued.
"During her pregnancy she tried numerous times to fall down the stairs... I decided to make her sleep in the guest room so it could stop happening. Then she tried grabbing a knife and pretended to fall.. I always managed to catch her in time... I had believed it was by accident;; y/n doesn't know this but I had purposely made sure that m/n and her were never alone in the same spot." He stopped to look at me.
"Todoroki, I'm such a cruel person.. after m/n died something happened to me and made me treat y/n how m/n would've treated her.. It wasn't until I had done it was when I realized what I had done.. I'm so sorry for what I did I never meant to get so angry when the rumor appeared.. or whatever "reason" I had to hurt her.. but what I'm not sorry about in the time of m/n's death is keeping you and your family away from her. It wasn't even your fault. I just couldn't stand knowing my daughter was near to your fathers blood.." he rustled his hair and cleaned off his tears.
"I didn't want someone else I cared for to fall for another Todoroki."
