The differences between us Todoroki x reader

Chapter 25.

Y/N POV
Sato and Kirishima were taken down. Their strength weakened over time and they got tired, Tsuyu and Tokoyami passed by cuffing ectoplasms leg, Ojiro and Iida passed by Escaping, next was Todoroki and Yaoyorozu's turn. I understood why they were paired up and if they actually focused on the goal at hand, together they'd be able to pass. But Shoto was the one who took initiative and didn't let Yaoyorozu say her plan. I already knew it was a mistake of his once they realized Aizawa-Sensei showed up. Quickly Shoto tried to get Yaoyorozu away from Aizawa in order to pass by escaping but he got caught in the Process. He was their teams offense so it was noticeable that he'd catch Shoto first. Aizawa-Sensei, after tying up Shoto and hanging him on a light post he immediately went after Yaoyorozu. I could tell by his face he didn't understand what he did wrong. Yaoyorozu had hurt her self esteem when it was the sports festival she was taken down quickly and followed Shoto's orders in the other game too. She lost her confidence so I can see why she was having a hard time expressing her ideas out to him. I looked at how Yaoyorozu was doing I could tell immediately she was stressed. He didn't let her know of the plan until too late he told her to run to the gate but didn't mention where it would be. Shoto tends to do things himself so when it comes to others and forgets that they're human too. Back to their exam Yaoyorozu went back for Shoto. Shoto finally spoke to her and helped her think rationally in order to get her mind concentrated and I'm glad for that. Quickly with her confidence back she threw the Russian dolls into the air to reveal flash grenades even if I was behind a screen watching the light was incredibly bright. She pulled Shoto down from the light post and they ran, after he attacked them, I could tell they were going to use his weakness. She gave out her plan and just like that in a matter of seconds Shoto made an ice wall just like what he made in the sports festival when he tried to end our battle quickly if I remembered correctly it took a lot of mental strength and my ability to use my hands to break it. If my hands were covered A bit more in ice the battle against me and him would've been over quickly and our problems wouldn't have been resolved between us. Yaoyorozu started making Aizawa's scarf in order for the to pass their final. She also made a catapult and placed the scarf on it. With one more final agreement they released their plan officially in action. Quickly they ran with the disguise of black sheets Aizawa went after them Yaoyorozu revealed herself with the catapult and released it a little off timing but it was still alright once Shoto brought his flames their interpretation of Aizawa's started turning to metal because it was made with nitinol alloy the scarf engulfed him and they are able to cuff him with the handcuffs. It was a learning lesson for them and I'm pleased to see that they both passed. Aoyama and Uraraka were next and they were able to pass because Uraraka let go of the pole she was hanging onto. Their team won by cuffing Thirteen. Though I didn't know why she let go I could tell Aoyama might've told her something embarrassing because her face went red. Midoriya thought Of this as a tactic of Uraraka's thought process. Though Tsuyu begged to differ. Iida and Yaoyorozu entered and we congratulated them.
Mina and Kaminari's battle was next against Principal Nezu. With Yaoyorozu's thinking she mentioned how he could have predicted their moves in the end Mina and Kaminari did not pass their final. Uraraka came in and was surprised to see that Mina and Kaminari didn't pass their final. Tsuyu asked Uraraka what her and Aoyama talked about before their battle ended and she got red and defensive. I could tell exactly what that meant.
Next up was Koda and Jirou were next against Present Mic. And we found out Koda is afraid of bugs. But in order to pass Koda had to ignore his fear and speak to them in order to trap Present Mic. But luckily Koda and Jirou were able to pass their exam by escaping.
Next up was Hagakure and Shoji against snipe who I also will be competing against. Hagakure went full stealth without telling Shoji as well but I guess he figured it out and helped her cuff Snipe. I'll just have to hope that I'll be able to do something similar in order to pass as well.
Next up is Sero and Mineta against Midnight. Sero was quickly immobilized and Mineta ran from midnight but somehow it was apart of his plan in order to get her far away from the gate. Using Sero's tape to cover his nose and mouth and his quirk to trap midnight from getting to him. He was able to pass by escaping with sleeping Sero.
Next exam was Midoriya and Bakugo. They are childhood friends but I guess it's more of a 'we've known each other since we were kids but this is more of a one sided friendship because the other guy hates me' and not like how me and Shoto are. They are against All Might so I feared for them a bit. But my exam is after them so I mustn't worry so much for Midoriya's exam as much as my own.
"Hey l/n, Your exam is after Midoriya's right? Are you sure you'll be ok by yourself you still have the ability to not take this portion right?" Yaoyorozu asked as Midoriya's exam was about to start.
"Yes I still can be able to not take this exam but trust me I know I can do it. The mobility in my legs for my final is to be used carefully which is why I'm still confined to a wheelchair. But once I flee or Capture him I must quickly relax after that. I'll be relying on my quirk most of the time since I still need my legs to recover regularly." I looked at my legs then back to her. My strategy has to work if I can't pass this final I won't be able to participate in the training. My father wouldn't like it either way but he stopped hitting me and will only use his voice but then again I'm not sure. He stopped acting this way since he mentioned my mother and when I got hurt.
"I see. I'm glad to see you not have given up even after you've been in a wheelchair. Though your legs don't seem to be just given out from training with your father.." her eyes were filled with concern.
"Same to you I'm happy to see you've gotten your confidence back.  Also trust I'm fine I'll be all better in a few days after this final exam." I put a hand on her arm to reassure her. She smiled and We looked back at the screens to see the starting of Midoriya and Bakugo's battle against All might.
It already felt like it wasn't a good start. No communication at all but then again what do you expect from Bakugo Katsuki. Midoriya tried to talk to him but while trying to he just angered him in the process, causing Midoriya to get hit in the face by him. They started yelling at each other. Almost ignoring the fact that they were against All Might. It looked like All Might punched a gust  of air. Because Midoriya and Bakugo were busy arguing the wind caught then off guard dust and concrete pieces flying to them. If this was All Might with weights on how is he actually without the weights. The way All Might was walking towards them was immensely intimidating. Midoriya wanted to run but Bakugo wanted to fight. All Might grabbed Bakugos face but Bakugo was determined so he tried using more explosives against All Might but he quickly blocked them by smashing Bakugo into the ground. All Might went to Midoriya and as he was trying to back away Bakugo got back up and flew into Midoriya. This wasn't looking good. And by Recovery Girls words the way they're acting now isn't going to help their case at all. Honestly I wasn't quite sure if they were going to pass or not. They look like their choosing a head on attack instead of running but by All Mights strength it almost to me it seems that they would be wasting their time until time ran out. 
All Might pinned Midoriya down with a white picket fence and Punched Bakugo in the stomach causing him to vomit. Midoriya was struggling to get up and Bakugo was struggling from the punch. But somehow in the conversation All Might and Bakugo had I presume Midoriya got mad because he punched him in order to get him away from All Might. He carried into an alley. All Might was running to see if they were going to make it to the escape gate but suddenly Bakugo came out of the alley way behind him and started blasting small explosives at him until Midoriya came out as well with the other gauntlet in his hand. With what it looked like a cue Midoriya released a big explosion from the gauntlet. They started running to the escape gate while All Might sat there processing what he should or what had just happened to him. All Might quickly caught up and in a split second destroyed both of the gauntlets and flung Bakugo into a building. When Bakugo went back to attack he grabbed ahold of Midoriya's hand and flung him to Bakugo. Everyone in the spectate room including me were shocked and worried for how this exam was going to end. Bakugo was pinned to the ground by All Might's feet and held Midoriya by the arm. He then flung Midoriya to the ground and with rage overflowing Bakugo he let out an explosion without his gauntlets. Bakugo then grabbed Midoriya and flew him nearly to the escape gate. All Might still in mid air flew himself towards Midoriya backing into him causing Midoriya to fall into a vehicle. Bakugo kept using big explosions on All Might and still in pain Midoriya tried to get to the gate. But while doing to All Might grabbed Bakugo by the face and knocked him down once more. Midoriya seeing Bakugo down and still trying to put up a fight decided to go back for him. Using his quirk to get to him quickly he punches All Might to get him away from Bakugo. Quickly he picked up Bakugo and fled for the gate. In the end they were able to pass. By going through the escape gate. Everyone in the spectate room was full of delight and I didn't blame them. They were able to pass by escaping All Might. Though that meant I was next. Although mine won't be as grand as theirs or as cheered for as others I'll be trying my best and being hopeful that my strategy works. With a good luck from Yaoyorozu I went to the exam Area. It was like the one Hagakure and Shoji fought in. With the announcer saying go my final had started. Quickly I went to hide. And was getting my quirk ready to do the strategy. With the shots being fired immediately the exam was officially a go!
Shoto's POV
Finally it was Y/n's turn and I finally entered the spectate room. I was concerned how she was going to pull this off but with her quirk she was able to get up from the chair. Though she wobbled a bit she was able to get her balance. Her legs were engulfed with the darkness of the shadows. She started used the chair she had been sitting on as a distraction. She pushed it at full speed to make it look like she was trying to run away while in the chair and Snipe quickly went to shoot near it to deter her from going closer. And using her legs engulfed with shadows to help her run to the escape gate she wasn't at her full speed. With snipe realizing the distraction he went to quickly get her away from the gate. Y/n having to hide behind a wall.
Y/N'S POV
I tried running for the gate but he caught on to the trap quick. He shot towards me and I hid behind a wall. I knew escaping was the best option but I had the strongest urge to cuff him. My fathers plan was to use my quirk to help me move around and protect myself from things. I know I have one more tactic to use but to use it only if I'm certain it's necessary for passing. I can use my speed only if I have no way to get out of a situation. I knew that I could use this trick to make it to the escape gate and pass like that but the urge to cuff him felt like it was taunting me.
"You know I'll try to go easy on you if that's what you want. I already have the weights on but I'm still going to prevent you from escaping though." Snipes words as he shot bullets to walls causing them to crumble as I move to another and another. It felt like time was ticking and I wanted to finish this quickly to end the exams. But with a bit of praying I let the sole of my boots feel the ground and with a burst of energy I bolted towards snipe. My legs shocked in immense pain, snipe was shocked as well as he tried to get me away. I was able to get behind him and cuff his arm accidentally pushing him to the ground as I fell as well. The pain in my legs now made me understand why this was a worst case scenario.
"Wow..! Good job l/n I didn't expect that." Snipe congratulated me on passing but the pain in my legs were unbearable.
"Y'know sir I didn't expect myself to do this either. And I'm not sure wether to regret it or not." Recovery came to the area I presume she had finished with Bakugo and Midoriya. Her and snipe brought me back into my chair and with her quirk my legs started relieving it's pain.
"Dearie you need to take it easy your legs are still recovering. Please tell me your foolish father didn't make you do that in order to pass." She started wheeling me out of the arena.
"No, no actually he told me to use this as a worst case scenario or a last choice type of thing. But I used it without realizing how painful it'd be afterwards." I laughed a bit to try and reassure Recovery Girl that it was my foolish choices and not my father. This time.
I was taken to her nurses office for a bit then left I'm still glad that I wasn't in as bad condition as Bakugo and Midoriya were. I was able to leave the room sooner then them. I met up with Shoto and I was pleased to see he wasn't hurt as badly as others were. He was as pleased as I was to see that I'd be alright with some rest. The exams were over, some passed and some failed. Mixed emotions were filled in the building. I went home knowing I'd be able to train with the others and not simply passing because of one part of the exam. Me and Shoto walked home wondering how the camp would be like.

Sorry I posted this a tad late but I hope you enjoyed it. I should've added how Shoto felt while watching y/n battle in the exam but I'm tired and I might add that in if I have the energy to do it tomorrow. The next chapter will be a flashback and then another one for this storyline. See you next chapter.
