Flashback No. 4

M/n POV
After agreeing to live with him I got my things ready. Finally away from my mother and terrible father. Sounds like heaven! Of course before I left I went to go visit Enji once more. Sure I could visit him some more after I move but now he's going to have a wife. I sent a quick message to Enji that I'd be coming over and went onwards to his house. As I got there he was already there waiting for me outside of the gates.
"Enji how's it going?" I waved as I catch up to him since he had already started walking. "Fine. I'm having trouble dealing with my wife." He scratched his neck.
"Oh.. Is it because your using her for her quirk?" He looked at me sternly.
"Please for all hero's sake m/n refrain from saying that out loud in public. You can easily ruin my career if you say that." He pinched the brim of his nose.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I forgot that's private. As an apology how about we eat somewhere it can be my treat today!" He nodded and we headed to a cafe. I avoided my favorite since I had just gone there yesterday with him. As we got seated I took a look at the menu. It's kinda expensive;; but I guess I have to repay Enji.
"We'll split the bill." I looked up Enji sat there looking at the menu.
"Huh? but I offere-" he looked straight into my eyes.
"It's too expensive especially with your sweet tooth. We're splitting the bill." He went back to looking for something to eat. He sounded so straight forward it kinda scares me. Oh course what do I expect from none other than Enji Todoroki. The waitress came and took our order and left us be. "So Enji are we going to talk about your marriage?" He looked up "what is there to discuss? Her parents accepted the amount of money I offered and now she'll be my wife." As expected he already had this plan since high school. But why do I wish he would change his mind?
"Oh right. It's been your plan from the start."
"I thought we have the same goal m/n. Aren't you still together with L/n for that reason?" He had to bring him up? Well it could be expected I pushed about his love life.
"Yes of course. Why else would I be with him?" He looked at me sternly.
"You do know you can be with someone out of love right? That's why he's with you. Not your quirk." Oh great now he's telling me about d/n love for me?
"Yes I know but I am only with him for his quirk. To the point where he actually believes I love him." I started laughing D/n is a fool.
"Yes. Alright, anyways the foods here." We both settled down for our meal.
Enji's POV (hehe :3)
As she started to talk bad about L/n I felt bad sure we have the same goal in mind but L/n genuinely cares for her. Actually I've known of L/n D/n longer than m/n has. We went to the same schools for all our lives. I believe we both knew our existences but we had no conversations with each other. I knew that he was an only child with a widowed mother, I knew the school pitied his mother so he would get sent home with a warm dinner since his mother worked multiple jobs, I even knew about him being bullied. I bet he has a bad idea of me ever since we met. We always competed with each other for who had the higher grade but I believe it didn't matter to either of us. I cared for dominance for the school, he cared for surviving the day. L/n actually didn't care if he got hurt his reputation was low as it was. Actually I wish he knew what a kind gesture I did for him when I bribed the kids that hurt him into leaving him alone. Selfishly I wished he would've talked about it to boost my reputation but genuinely I just wanted him to give me a simple thanks. My mind faded out of the past between L/n and me realizing I haven't touched a bit of food and that m/n is starting to look worried.
"Enji are you okay? You haven't eaten." I fixed my confused expression and spoke.
"I'm fine. I was just thinking." I drank the coffee I had ordered.
"Oh well if you're not hungry can I have your dish?" Of course all she cared for was food.
"Sure." As she grabbed my plate I asked for the bill.
"Oh right Enji now that I remember I'll be leaving tomorrow, because Y'know I'm going to live with d/n" she looked as if it was planned from the start.
"Is that so? I wish you the best. As well as l/n." She groaned as she slumped in her seat.
"Really nothing else? Like I'll miss you? Boooo" she stuck out her tongue. "I would've thought you'd say that it wouldn't be good." I couldn't tell if she wanted me to be happy for her or upset that she's leaving.
"Isn't it your plan to marry him for his quirk? Wouldn't it be an important factor to live with your spouse?" The check finally came and I paid for it. Knowing her she forgot her wallet.
"Eh well I guess you're right...
Anyways we should get going now. I plan on taking my things to my new apartment tonight." I nodded and we left. I walked her home in silence she was now on her phone messaging who I could presume was d/n. That's when I glanced at a message that he sent. 'Did you take your medication today?' She then turned off her phone. For as long as I've known m/n she's never been one to be sick. But perhaps I could be wrong.
"Oh looks like we're here. I'll come visit when I get the chance okay Enji?" I nodded and waved goodbye. I never knew what pain m/n would really bring to d/n and I wish I was able to help him, but instead once she passed I was hit with anger and rage from d/n. If I could change the past where I was friends with d/n and where he could rely on me maybe all his pain and trauma would never have happened...

WELL LOOK AT THAT I ACTUALLY FINISHED A CHAPTER. Obviously next chapter will continue with y/n but I hoped you enjoyed looking into Enji's flashback and a little bit of m/n hope you enjoyed.
