I sat down on my bed tracing my fingertips over its soft fabric calming myself down. I woke up this morning with the memory of yesterday carved into my mind I wanted it to be all a dream, but it wasn't a dream.
I sigh escaped my mouth as I felt the sad and strange feeling once again rising in me.
A knock at the door woke me from my usual spam of thoughts,
"Come in" I answered,
Laura's small brunette head popped up from the side of the door. Her eyes traced around the room until she found me.
"Hey! How's future mummy doing?" She asked skipping towards me, why is she always so happy?
"Fine I guess" I replied,
"You know it's your due date soon, like I believe in a week or so",
"Yeh I know and let me tell you I can't be more scared" I felt a chill run down my spine just by the thought of the pain in giving birth.
"You will be fine, I was fine" she said pointing to herself,
"What do you mean you were fine? What's the definition of fine in your mental book? Cause let me tell you, you were the opposite of fine you went crazy"
She rolled her eyes at me and sat beside me and for some reason she instantly put her hand on my stomach. I loved being pregnant and all and you know the thought of how amazing the human well werewolf body is to be able to grow a baby inside of it but I don't like the attention that comes with it! For some reason now whenever I walk past someone their eyes instantly go to my belly and the same questions show up,
"OMG is it a girl or a boy"
Truth is I don't want to know yet.
I talked with Laura for a while longer until Andreo called her to him cause apparently he can't stay alive without seeing her for more then one minute.
"I'll get going then bye Jess look after your self" she waved and left the room,
I rolled my eyes at her since her room is right across from mine she makes it sound as if I live like two countries away from her.
I snapped out of my thoughts once again to the sound of something moving around in my room, I looked at my bookshelf and strangely it seemed to have been moved which is almost impossible since it's literally huge I mean of course is werewolves are strong but I doubt we could have moved that big of a bookshelf in our human form.
"Looking for me?" I heard a voice suddenly,
I screamed in terror and quickly turned sround to find Pheonix' cheeky little face.
"Oh my god Pheonix you scared me" I held on to my chest as if my heart was going to jump out of it.
She laughed.... I never have seen her laugh before.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but I needed to talk to you" She said very nicely.... strange.
"Uhh okay..." I said uncertain of what was about to happen.
"I... uhh accidentally eavesdropped in what you told my dad" my eyes widened,
"Oh...eh... you did?" I smiled nervously,
"Is it true?" She asked eagerly,
I stayed quiet not knowing what to say does Leon want me to tell Pheonix well I mean she already knows so...
"Well is it?!" She asked again,
"Yes"
Pheonix looked at me shocked at the words I had spoken she looked like she had completely frozen.
"My... My mummy is alive?" Tears suddenly started forming in her blue eyes,
I froze this was my first time seeing any emotion either than anger from Pheonix she would usually ignore me and make side comments about me wanting to date her dad or something.
"My mummy is really alive? I can see her again? I can hug her again?" Millions and millions of questions just started vomiting out her mouth and I really couldn't do anything to stop it and I definitely couldn't answer all of them.
"Yes Diane is alive I'm 100% sure" I said smiling,
"So it's not my fault" tears streamed down her face as she said those words,
"What do you mean?" I asked her shocked,
"It's not my fault that mummy died?"
"Why would you think it's your fault?" I asked her confused out of my mind.
Pheonix wiped her tears and eventually after she calmed down a bit told me everything that happen and how her mum had been taken by the council before she was born, and how she was with her mum imprisoned in the council for three whole years until they made a plan to escape but sadly only she came out alive.
"Mummy told me to run and that she would be right behind me... but she never followed me back Aru flew away without her" she said crying once again,
Everything made sense now why the council had her and how this whole thing of her dying had come up,
"Who's Aru?" I asked,
"Oh! You probably don't know yet, my mother looked after these creatures my pack doesn't look after them anymore after Leon announced the death of mummy they all flew away in sadness but Aru still visits me" she said half smiling while sniffling.
"Pheonix I'm going to tell you something that I haven't told your dad yet cause I'm too scared" I held her hand looking for some comfort in this conversation I don't know why I was telling a twelve year old or however old she is, but I just needed to get it out.
"I found your mums diary"
"'My mums diary?" She said bewildered,
"Yes your mums diary and the diary has things in which can help me bring her back from the council but... I'm too scared to tell your dad what if he gets mad because I looked through Diane's things"
I increased the pressure of my grasp on her hands.
"I doubt my dad will be mad you found a way to save mummy he will be happy... VERY happy" she smiled at me, she's never done that before...

Ok so I'm going to finish this chapter here Jess has gotten her confidence now so let's hope... fingers crossed that Leon won't get mad.
