Falling down

I heard a faint cry in the night,

It sounded of despair,

Like losing a fight,

Dignity bare.

Its piercing screams,

Blood rushed through my head,

I tried to find the voice,

Then something shook the bed.

The hairs on my arms grew straight,

I felt as cold as ice,

Something chilled the room,

I didn't dare think twice.

I ran off the bed,

Then grabbed the door,

I fell into a hole,

One I've never seen before.

As I ended up here,

Like Alice in Wonderland,

Trying to find my way,

But still didn't understand.

I was lost in a dream,

A haze where I would never awake,

Seemed so realistic,

My mind had made a mistake.

Made me believe this was real,

Played me like a fool,

Scared myself to death,

But rushed my blood, oh, how cruel.
