Library boy

He sits far off in the corner,

Trapped inside his book,

Never dares to say a word,

Nor does he even look.

But I find it adorable,

The way he uses his time,

Doesn't waste a second,

He's just in his book, trapped in mind.

I don't think he has friends,

But I'd like to be his first,

So I walk to where he's sitting,

And compliment his shirt.

He looks up at me a smile tugging on his face,

His green eyes grow wider,

As I see them dilate.

I ask if I can join him,

He politely says yes,

When I take the seat besides him,

He compliments my dress.

This boy is still far off in the corner,

But this time he's not alone,

Every time I see him there,

His smile is always shown.
