Mermaid

I see them walking,

I see them dancing,

I see them laughing,

I see them prancing.

I'm stuck underwater,

Same old world,

I'm not small anymore,

Not your ordinary girl.

I want to be on land,

And have more limbs like them,

But for now I'm stuck underwater,

For I wish to see them again.

All I have is a fin,

That can get me places fast,

But I want to see the world,

I bet it's someplace vast.

They never notice me,

Don't even know that I exist,

Along with a whole other yearning's for,

That I can no longer resist.
