Darkness is my Daylight

I'm sitting in a dark room,
It's cold at night and I'm missing home.
There's nobody here, I'm all alone.

There's a shadow on the wall,
I see it cringing in place,
But yet, it hasn't revealed it's face.

It's moving closer to me,
I've got nowhere to hide,
But it's too late, I feel it inside.
My bones start to twist
It's taking over me
Why can't it just let me be?
My face burns
I start to cry
It leaves scars underneath my eyes.

I can barely make it to the restroom
I turn on the light,
But it's too bright.
I look at the girl I once new before
Her eyes are black
With tints of evil in the core
Her skin is pale
Her face is out of place
She takes her hands and touches her face.
Such fragile hands
Never seen before
She faints and collapses onto the floor

There's a knock on the door
A young boy comes inside
He goes to the bathroom and can't believe his eyes
His love lying on the ground
He checks her heart if there's a sound
He lays besides her hand in hand
He whispers in her ear
Hoping she can hear:
"A twist in my story
Is all you'll ever be
You never knew how much you mean to me
I love you more
Even before
All this came to be
For wherever you may go
I want to go too
As long as I'm always together with you."
Tears roll down
And he touches her heart
Draws a symbol,
Like a piece of art
He continues his words
With one last goodbye:

Late that night he can't seem to sleep
He sees a shadow
What could it be?
Wings spread apart
A woman's shape tears him apart
Scenes from before is all he sees
A broken angel is all she'll ever be
