You know,
I wish we had a time machine,
To change all of the things that we've done.
I'm taking mostly about the bad.
The things we regret saying,
Or the things we regret never doing when we had the chance.
But as I ponder upon this wish,
I realize that changing things will only make it worse.
Mistakes.
They make us who we are today.
So what, you never helped that girl who was lost in the store.
Yeah, you feel guilty, but you learn from it.
To help others next time.
Who cares if you never told your first crush you liked him.
Sure, he could've liked you back,
But there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
Your past is your past, and I realize that there is nothing you can do to Change it.
If you wanted to change the bad,
Then why not change the good while you're at it?
To make it better.
Why not change everything if you wanted to go back in time.
Sometimes I ask myself:
"Would I really want to change my past?"
Then I say "My past depends on my future. Without a past, there's no future."
You know,
I wish that time machines were as imperfect as the rest of us are.
Just like me.
There's no regretting your past.
But you can be greater than what it was.
