I'm sitting at a table,
Waiting for you to come,
It's been over twenty minutes,
Waiting for the food to be done.
I'm getting awkward stares,
Because you're still not here,
Did you show me up?
Or making me wait a year?
I hope you're fashionably late,
Otherwise I won't accept any excuse,
You could've been here earlier,
Now it's one, quarter to two.
I'm sitting all alone,
I'm going to leave right now,
But I'll give you five more minutes,
To show yourself somehow.
Maybe I was right,
That this wasn't meant to be,
Sadly I look to the door,
And I'm greeted by what I see.
I see you're hands are full,
With chocolates and red balloons,
Suddenly I don't feel bad for waiting,
Even if I was waiting for you.
