Hazel eyes

When I look into those eyes,

It's like I never want to look away,

I'd take a picture to capture the moment,

While your eyes on me remain.

Behind those hazel eyes,

I see a hint of flirty-ness too,

A spark of wonder, and fascination,

And suddenly my gaze is on you.

Your eyes light up,

And widen when you smile,

I get butterflies in my stomach,

For them to leave, it takes a while.

Your eyes are like rubies sparkling in the night,

Guiding the way,

Giving off your reflective light.

When I look into your eyes,

It's from a few feet away,

Our eyes capture the moment,

For a while like this, we stay.

When I look into your eyes it's like playing a game,

Daring me, taunting me, to get lost in your maze.

But when you look into my eyes,

I'm thinking this isn't real,

Because you don't know what it's like,

To be like me, with the emotions I feel.

When we meet each other's eyes,

Time freezes all around,

All at once you feel nothing,

But hear the beat of our hearts pound.

Still, you look into my eyes,

My insecurities make me turn away,

I can feel your eyes around,

While your hazel eyes on me still remain.
