The land as dry as heat,
The sand as small as grain,
Caught in between a drought,
I pray,
Let it rain, let it rain. The thought of liquid, as flooding as ocean,
As hard, not easy to obtain,
Water is what I wish for,
So I pray,
Let it rain, let it rain. The clouds as dark as midnight,
When I look, it causes me pain,
So I run with my hands in the air,
And scream,
"Let it rain, let it rain."The winds as fast as a storm,
For it blew me from my brain,
Surprised yet relived,
I thanked,
"For the rain, for the rain."
