as daniel was driving us back home, he asked if i needed anything from walmart later on.
"how about some uh, chocolate" i say to him in a playful tone. "ew" he replied, scrunching up his face and giving me a disgusted look. i laugh at his expression "oh man, your facial expressions are priceless"

"haha, very funny jess" he replied as he rolled his eyes, soon laughing along with me. a couple minutes later, we arrive to his house where keri was sitting out in the front. "hi mom, jess just came back from the hospital." he says, as both of us are stepping out the car and locking it afterwards.

"oh my, jess. are you okay?" keri worriedly asks , causing me to smile a bit. "i'm fine, keri. i got quite some rest at the hospital for the past four days after surgery. daniel kept me company as well." i reply, flashing a bigger smile at daniel and his mom. "great to hear that jess, come inside." she walk to the door and opens it, guiding us inside to the main room.

"i'll leave you two alone for now, i have to go to walmart." "alright, bye mom!" daniel replies clearly as she grabbed the keys and closed the door behind her.

"so.." he says, walking toward the couch, patting the space beside him so i can sit. he continued where he left off. "..wanna tell me why tori pushed you off the stairs?" he asks me seriously, my smile immediately fading. i nodded slowly as i started off with the explanation.

a couple minutes into the explanation, i got to the part where tori was drinking and i abruptly stop. my eyes started to water, as i look down, sniffling. he lifts my chin up so his eyes met mine. "too much?" he asks, tilting his head to the side.

"y-yeah, i'm not really ready to say everything, yet." i say as we're still looking into each other's eyes. suddenly, he pulls me down in one rapid movement so i'm leaning over his chest, his body heaving up and down as he hugged me ever so tightly.

as he hugs me from behind, i put my hands over his and we slowly rock back and forth, causing me to blush.
