as daniel and i sat in comfortable silence, he spoke up, retrieving his arm that was over my shoulders. "so, jess.." he shifts over to my way, sitting face to face patiently waiting for his continuation. "seems like they figured things out really quick."

"yeah, thankfully. i can tell zach's a pretty protective one." i say as i roll my eyes, tugging my lips on each side forming a small smile. "i get it, though. they're dating. makes sense."

"mhm." daniel responds, shifting once more, this time his hands pull my arms, causing me to fall on top of him, his warmth embracing me as my head rests on his chest. he instantly makes one of the hands make way to my hair playing with it and twirling the strands. it all happened in an instant.

"i know you're the type to run away from problems heading your way but i just need you to know that you can't do that all your life. i know i've said it before, but i need you to stick with it. figure out the problem and be a problem solver. i shouldn't have been so harsh on you when i left you there during school, i immediately regretted it. even when you came to check up on me at my house after that. the thing is, you help me help you. whenever i think about you i calm down and just smile. it makes me want to help others who are also in need but most importantly it's about you. any situation you may be in, i'm there. yeah, i might force you to face the challenges but at the very end, everything is okay. whenever you're alone, im there. if you're shedding tears at any moment, i'll be there to pull you close and make you happy again. never forget that i'll be there for you at any moment. i love you, jessica."

daniel lastly says as he kept playing with my brown strands that were falling off my face. as he looks through my eyes, penetrating me, that's when i realize it. surely, this isn't a dream. i love you is what he just said.

i blushed in response, flattered with everything he has said, saving all of his meaningful words in my memory. everything he does drives me insane. especially this, where most of the time i just don't know how to reply. this time, i knew what i wanted to say. and i meant everything when those words slipped out my mouth.

"i love you too, daniel."
