Chapter 17

Bruce's POV

 Shuri and I have been working in the lab on Vision all day long and we're finally just about done. She just has to glue a couple of the pieces of the mind stone together and I have to place into his head. From there, we'll find out if we've successfully brought Vision back from the dead or not. I glance at Shuri and she gives me a nod. I then take the mind stone pieces she glued from her and gently place them into his forehead. Once all of the pieces are attached together, the mind stone glows and color begins to be restored to his body. We grin at each other. Vision is coming back to life in front of our very eyes. We accomplished something that was nearly impossible. I'm proud of the both of us. 

    Vision opens his eyes a few minutes later and gazes intensely at the two of us. "Shuri and... Dr. Banner?" I grin at him. "Yeah it's me. I've taken on a new form these days. How are you feeling Vision?" He smiles softly. "Quite better thanks to you two. How are you doing?" I smile back. "I'm great actually." Shuri fidgets a bit but smiles at Vision too. "It's good to have you back from the dead. Wanda's going to be so happy to see you." He attempts to leap off of the table. "Wanda, I need to see her. Where is she?" I gently ease him back onto the table. "Easy there, you still need a little time to recover. Wanda is fine. She's actually out with T'Challa and Bucky at the moment. She'll be back soon." 

     He sighs and leans back down. "I'm sorry for overreacting there. I just haven't seen her in so long. How long has it been since we fought Thanos together? What happened?" I look at him grimly. "It's been over five years. A lot has changed since you died at the hands of Thanos. He managed to wipe out half of the universe, Wanda included. Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark are both dead. Steve Rogers has aged into an old man but he did so willingly. He wanted a happy ending with the love of his life, a woman named Peggy Carter." He scratches the back of his head. "That name sounds familiar to me. Perhaps her and I crossed paths in the past." I nod in agreement. "Yeah I think you may have." 

      Talk about a coincidence but Wanda, Bucky, and T'Challa are heading towards the lab right now. They'll be here any moment now. When Wanda comes through the door last, her eyes widen in shock and her jaw drops. "Vis, are you really here?" Tears form in her eyes and my heart melts for their reunion. He sits up straight on the lab table and opens his arms wide for her to embrace him. "It's me, I'm here. I can't believe you're here. We're together again in the proper time period where we want to be." The two of them embrace each other for a long time, tuning the rest of us out. We take it as our cue to leave the room. Shuri just mentions that she'll be outside if they need anything. Wanda nods but doesn't take her eyes off of Vision. 

Vision's POV

 I gaze at my precious Wanda with nothing but love in my eyes and heart. "I can't believe it's been over five years since we've been together in this time period. You look so beautiful. You haven't aged a day." She laughs. "Being stuck in the soul realm helped me maintain my youth. You look healthy, just tired. You're also super mega handsome but you probably already know that." I wiggle my eyebrows at her like a dork, causing her to laugh some more. I love her laugh, it's music to my ears. I could never get sick of hearing it. I cup her face gently, studying every detail of her perfect face before pulling it in for a kiss. Time comes to a halt as it often does when I kiss her. 

     When we pull apart, Wanda grins at me. "You haven't lost your ability of being an excellent kisser. I laugh and my face heats up a bit. "Thank you, neither have you Wanda." I force myself to stand up from the lab table. I wobble a bit but Wanda steadies me. The two of us leave the lab and approach Shuri. "Shuri, I don't mean to bother you, but can I stay here with Wanda a bit? Just until we both get back on our feet." She smiles. "Absolutely. Take all of the time you need. We love having company in Wakanda. The more, the merrier." "Thank you very much. Take care Shuri." Wanda hugs her before the two of us head to her room to get some much needed rest.
