Chapter 15

Thor's POV

  My dear Bruce and I have just arrived in Wakanda. We haven't been here since the battle with Thanos. It brings back a lot of bad memories for the both of us. Nonetheless, we continue to trudge on to Shuri's lab. Wanda, T'Challa, and Shuri are there waiting for us. I wrap an arm around Bruce's back as we head into the lab. Wanda is the first one to approach us, leaping into Bruce's arms. "Thank you so much for coming. I'm sure you had other business to attend to but between you and Shuri, I have no doubt that the two of you can bring back Vis." Bruce pats her back gently. "It's no problem at all Wanda. It's good to you alive and well." 

    I smile at the two of them. They had a rough first encounter during the battle with Ultron and have come a long way as teammates since then. I then greet her myself and Bruce moves onto greeting T'Challa and Shuri. It's like a mini family reunion and it warms my soul. I step aside after a few minutes along with T'Challa and Wanda so my man and Shuri can work. The three of us decide to hit up a local cafe to chat over food and drinks. Shuri and Bruce are going to need at least a few hours or so to try to revive Vision. Wanda smirks at me. "So Shuri told me you and Bruce are a couple. I was a bit surprised but I'm very happy for you both." I look at T'Challa to see his reaction but he nods in agreement. His facial expressions are often difficult to read. 

    "Thank you Wanda. It's new and exciting dating wise, but honestly I think I had feelings for him even while he was with Natasha and I didn't realize it. I was fond of Natasha as a person so I didn't want to be the person that gets in the way of two people who are content in a relationship with one another. I was also still getting over Jane so the timing wasn't right for years. Now that timing is right, I had to take advantage of finally having the guts to tell him how I feel about him. I really love him. I won't say that to him right away if I can tell that it would scare him but it's true. He's the moon, sun, and stars to me." T'Challa smiles softly. "That was beautiful Thor. I hope Nakia and I's love for one another continues to be as bright as you and Bruce's love is." 

    He leans forward a bit while sipping his coffee. "Wakanda loves having a Starbucks. Not only that but we're actually one of the most accepting LGBTQA+ nations in the world. We don't have a ton of pride events but here we have one notion about love, love is simply love. It doesn't matter who you love or how you love them, though you should love them respectfully of course. The point is no one here is phased by seeing two men together as a couple or two women as a couple." I smile at him gratefully. "That's always reassuring to hear. Thank you T'Challa. You run a fine nation indeed but I bet you already know that." He grins. "I try my best to but some days it's difficult to stay afloat." 

     I look at him with sympathy. "I was the king of Asgard for thousands of years. I know the burden of being a king better than anyone. I actually gave up my place as a king recently to Valkyrie. She's a good friend of mine and will make a fine ruler of what's left of our kingdom. She'll restore balance properly, that balance not including wiping out half of the universe's population though." Wanda snorts. "Try murdering the man you love with your own bare hands and then watching Thanos use the time stone only to rip the mind stone of his head, killing him a second time." I snort back at her. "Try going for the gauntlet but then being told by the purple bastard himself that I have should gone for the head. Then going for the head a little over three weeks later and it STILL took FIVE YEARS to fix the damage." 

    The three of us sip our drinks and eat in silence for a couple of moments before I break the silence. "All that matters now is that the world has been restored and we're getting back on track as to how it once was." T'Challa and Wanda say "Amen" in unison. I wonder how Bruce and Shuri are doing in the lab. I'm sure they're doing just fine. If there was an emergency, Shuri or Bruce would call one of us to let us know.
