Chapter 22

Valkyrie's POV 

 I'm just down on one of the docks in the village fishing like I normally do a couple times a week when two familiar body shapes are heading towards me in the distance. As they get closer, my eyes widen. It's Thor and Bruce Banner. I grin and motion for them to park on a soft patch of grass far enough from any cliffs so the car doesn't go off of the edge of one. Once they are safely parked in the spot I pointed at, the two of them come charging over to me. Both of them scoop me up in their arms, Bruce even throwing me over his shoulder. "We missed you Angry Girl." I roll my eyes playfully. "You know how I feel when you call me that Bruce. It's really good to see you and Thor though. What brings you back here?"

    Thor smiles sincerely at me. "We came back to visit you, Korg, and Miek. We missed you guys. Also, we wanted to take a little time off from the superhero life in a place that both of us feel at home in. I don't want it to be a big deal that Bruce and I are here so please don't make any grand announcements." I pucker my lips. "Fiiinnneee, I won't tell the entire world that you two are here. Korg and Miek are back at your old place Thor. They're STILL playing Fortnite. Why did you get those two addicted to that silly video game?" He laughs. "It's not silly. It's a game that has taken the world by storm." 

     "I happen to have a different opinion. I'd love to hear Bruce's though." I turn to him. "What's your opinion on Fortnite?" Thor and I both look at him eagerly, very curious as to what he has to say. "I'm with Valkyrie. I think the game is a tad bit overrated." I raise a hand for him to slap five and he does. Thor pouts playfully. "You guys are being fun busters." I smirk. "Yes that's probably true but at least you know that we'll be around to bug you for life. We love you Thor." He blushes a bit. "I love you too my dear friend. Please lead us to Miek and Korg. We're eager to see them as well." I nod and lead them up the hill to Thor's old place. 

         When we get there, Thor opens the door immediately, crashing onto his favorite couch. Korg and Miek are startled by his actions but both relax quickly when they realize that it's just Thor. They all have a cute brotherly reunion before Bruce and I join in. All of us being together again truly does feel like a family reunion. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. I also fought in the battle against Thanos during the Endgame period in addition to Ragnarok. I could use a break from the hero life for a little while too. Being the queen of a small village isn't nearly as demanding as being a hero is.
