Multiple hours had passed since Emma awoke, and she was doing well. Improving much better. There was even talk of releasing her in the next few days. Allie couldn't have been more glad — but something still bothered her. The fact Emma somehow doesn't remember Peter, the boy she adores the most. It bothered Allie more than she wanted it to. She just wanted to know why. Why him?

Allie sat in Emma's hospital room, perking up when she realized the girl had fallen asleep, causing the Rodgers girl to slightly smile. But her attention was brought elsewhere when she heard loud shuffling and voices outside of the room. She quickly got to her feet, stepping out to investigate when she found a desperate looking Peter Parker strolling through the halls.

"Where is she?" he asked a nurse, but she stared at him confused.

"Parker," Allie called, her voice quiet yet stern.

The boy glanced over to her, his face suddenly softening. He began his way over to her, relief fueling him. "Mr. Stark told me she woke up. I came as soon as I could—" he began. But was cut off when Allie's hand suddenly pressed into his chest, stopping him from moving forward. He stared down at her confused, especially at how strong she was.

"Parker..." Allie quietly said before she hesitantly connected her eyes with his. Her concern had him worried.

"What?" he asked, "What is it?"

"There's something you should know...about Emma," she quietly told him as he continued to stare at her confused. She didn't know how to put it gently or somehow explain it slowly to him. So she just straight told him, "She doesn't remember you."

His brows quickly knitted together, more confusion overwhelming him while she gazed at him apologetically. She would give anything to not be in this position, to not be the bearer of bad news.

"W...What?" he stammered, his heartbeat picking up.

"I don't know how...but whatever they did to her...she has no memory of Peter Parker," Allie told him with a shaky voice.

Peter blinked multiple times, staring at her in disbelief before he slowly began to shake his head. "No," he said, "No. She can't... She can't forget about me. She couldn't forget about me— She's the only— This can't be—"

"Parker..."

"This can't be true," he murmured, shaking his head.

"Emma doesn't remember Peter...?" a soft voice asked and they both turned back to find Pepper standing behind them, with a shocked Tony next to her.

"I...don't understand it," Allie hesitantly said, "It's almost like she has amnesia, but only for him. Whatever they did to her..."

"This can't be happening," Peter muttered, stumbling back and Allie quickly stepped towards him, grabbing hold of his arms to keep his balance. He breathed heavily, the sharpened breaths, the dilated eyes — Allie knew instantly he was having an anxiety attack. She recognized herself in him.

She helped him sit into a chair as Emma's parents watched him with concerned looks. And once he was situated, Allie glanced back at the two, wanting to know what to do next. How to handle a situation like this. And because Tony Stark was Tony Stark — he handled it horribly.

"Keep your distance from her," he suddenly said, causing all three of them to eye him shocked.

"What?" Allie loudly asked.

"Just for now," Tony continued as Peter stared at him with teary eyes, "Just until she's back on her feet. Until she has time to recover and get herself together. And if she really does have amnesia, then... be patient. She can come back."
