After school that day, as soon as walking into his apartment, in a panicked rush, Peter slid into the kitchen with a frenzied look.
"May, I need your help," he said, and Aunt May, who was in the living room, suddenly perked up, staring at him with a surprised expression.
At the exact same time, Emma was rushing through the mall with Allie and Pepper, attempting to ignore all the people taking their pictures. But Emma was on a mission; She and Allie had to pick out Homecoming dresses.
And at one point, as Emma was trying on dresses with Pepper and Allie waiting outside the dressing room, Allie got a text message.
"Oh, look at that," she said.
"What?" Emma asked from behind the curtain.
"Liz Allan has invited you and I to join her to take a limo to Homecoming," Allie said and Pepper looked at her.
"Oh, that's nice," Pepper said.
"Right... and... suspicious... but I won't say no to a free limo ride," Allie said, "Apparently her dad is putting together the entire thing—"
Abruptly, the curtain opened, and Emma's head poked out, an alarmed look over her. Both Allie and Pepper stared at her oddly.
"Emma?" Pepper questioned.
"Did you say her dad?" Emma asked and Allie nodded. Emma looked suddenly panicked.
She glanced over at Pepper, who still had no idea what Emma had been up to the past three months. And hated that she wanted to keep it that way.
"Hey, Mom... could you go look at some of the jewelry out there?" Emma asked her.
"Well, actually, we're going to get you real diamonds for Homecoming, not those fake ones—" but when Emma gave her a look that said she needed to talk to Allie, Pepper quickly pulled her phone out and got up. "I'll call them right now." And then she walked out of the dressing room.
As soon as she was gone, Emma reached out, grabbed Allie by the arm, and pulled her into the dressing room.
"What the hell?" Allie asked as Emma shut the curtain.
The supersoldier eyed her down once, finding she was wearing a cute little pink dress. But that was all the seconds she had before Emma said, "Pay attention, Rodgers. We don't have a lot of time before my mom gets back."
"What are you on about now?" Allie asked.
"Adrian Toomes is the Vulture," Emma told her and Allie's face quickly dropped. Out of everything, that she wasn't expecting.
"What?" she quietly asked.
"On my birthday, when we all were on the ferry, right before Vulture went all Vulture out of that van, I saw him without the mask and wings," Emma told her, "I instantly recognized him as my neighbor."
Once again, Allie stared at her shocked.
"Liz Allan's dad is Vulture?" Allie asked and Emma nodded, "Vulture is Liz Allan's dad?" Emma nodded once again, "Why haven't you said anything until now?!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, but my personal life has gotten a little hectic lately, if you haven't noticed," Emma said and Allie rolled her eyes, "I apologize for forgetting—"
"Forgetting the most important piece of information of this entire thing," Allie spat.
"It's only been two days, calm down," Emma sternly said and Allie irritatingly sighed.
