The next morning, Emma woke up right at 6 AM. Not from her alarm, or from Nala, or from the sunlight through her curtains.
No, Emma was startled awake from loud knocks on her bedroom door. When her eyes flinched open, she quickly remembered that she stayed the night at the Avengers Compound. It was so late when the party ended, Tony forced Emma, and Pepper to stay in New York City at the compound, rather than driving all the way back to Queens. Especially when Emma still had school the next day.
But now it was 6 AM, and someone was loudly pounding against her door.
"Wake up, time to get ready for school!" shouted Tony Stark.
Emma groaned, pulling up the pillow under her head to cover her ears.
"Don't ignore me—! Okay, I'm over it. Friday, would you please?
"Yes, sir."
Right then, Emma's bedroom lights all blared on as the curtains mechanically opened. The girl winced as she pulled her pillow out and placed it over her face.
Seconds later, she heard her door open and heard her father's laughter. But then he snatched the pillow from her, causing a yelp to escape her.
She tried to reach for it, but he outstretched his arm, keeping it from her reach. In multi-seconds, she gave up, sending him an annoyed pout as he giggled in amusement. Like a child.
"I knew you were ignoring me," Tony said, already dressed and ready for the day.
"Who bangs on their daughter's door at six am?" she asked as he smiled, "You have nothing better to do at six am?"
"No, not really," Tony honestly said, and she rolled her eyes before she began to sit up in her bed. But when she did, they both heard footsteps shuffling towards her bedroom...
"What is with the ruckus?"
Pepper Potts shuffled into the bedroom, a worried look on her. Until she saw Tony and instantly knew all the noise was from him.
"Mom, it's nothin..." Emma's words faltered when she realized Pepper was in a red robe. But not just any robe. The girl's brows instantly furrowed, "Why are you wearing Dad's robe—?"
But when Tony and Pepper exchanged an awkward look, Emma's face instantly dropped, already knowing more than she wanted.
"No..." Emma said in a shocked voice while Pepper stared at her guiltily.
"Emma..." she began.
"I don't wanna know," Emma said as she practically leaped out of her bed, quickly strolling past her parents, heading towards the closet.
"Emma—"
"I hope you used protection!" Emma shouted as she walked into the closet. And Pepper's eyes widened in shock. "Do you know how inappropriate it would be to have a 15-year-age gap difference with a sibling?"
Pepper loudly scoffed as Tony said, "Why are you lecturing us about protection?"
Emma's head quickly popped out of the closet, an annoyed look on her. "Are you really asking the product of your one-night-stand... why?"
The parents fell silent and she shot them a look before disappearing into the closet again. And after a moment, Tony murmured, "I hate that she's right."

Once dressed in a pink button-up cardigan and blue jeans, Emma headed towards the kitchen to have breakfast. But when she did, she stopped in her tracks when she heard the news playing in the nearby lounge room. Talking about her.
