Three weeks later and the city of Queens, New York had slowly realized they had two heroes swinging or flying around, stopping petty crime. They began to learn their names; Miss Steel and Spider-Man. Or on Twitter, where they were called SpiderSteel. A ship name created by fan accounts who wanted Miss Steel and Spider-Man together. Although unknown to them, the two heroes were already together, even if they hadn't officially stated they were in a relationship. All that Emma knew was that she really liked Spider-Man.
Emma really liked her suit, thinking it suited her well. It was light red, some of it black. It was a long-sleeved dress suit with black boots. She never changed her hair in any way, which could give her identity away. But she continued to wear that black mask Spider-Man gave her.
Spider-Man was the only person who knew who Miss Steel was under the mask. And she so desperately wished she knew who he was under his mask, but knew he was the only one who could tell her. It was his secret to tell, not hers to push out of him. But the two continued to stop crime in Queens, even when Emma would fight every single order Spider-Man gave her.
"Miss Steel, do not, I repeat, do not engage without me."
"Why not?" Miss Steel asked into comms, standing on the roof of a building that stood across from a coffee shop that currently had a robbery in progress.
"Because it can be dangerous."
"I can easily take them out. In and out," Miss Steel argued.
"Just wait until I get there."
Miss Steel groaned annoyed before getting off comms. She sighed before placing her eyes on the coffee shop again, only to perk up when she saw the robber press his gun directly onto the owner's forehead. This wasn't a simple little robbery, it was an execution!
Completely throwing away what Spider-Man told her, Miss Steel jumped off the roof and zoomed down before the shop. She carefully opened the door, immediately causing everyone to look in her direction. And she tensed up when the man quickly pulled the gun on her.
"Don't shoot," she said, holding up her hands as the man eyed her intently, "Just...put the gun down."
"No!" he shouted and Miss Steel nervously gulped, "No, he ruined my life!"
"And that is a reason to kill someone?" she questioned, slowly making her way towards him. And he noticed.
"Stay away!" But when she wouldn't, he pulled the trigger.
Everyone gasped only to stare at the hero in curiosity when she held out her hands, creating a force field to stop the bullet. And when she lowered her hands down, the bullet dropped to the ground.
Miss Steel carefully watched the man who stared at her shocked as she bent down and picked up the bullet. "You're lucky it was only me...or else you could have killed someone...an innocent someone," she said before she tossed the bullet back to the ground. And within seconds, she shot pink energy from her palms, blasting right into the man. He was pushed backward, crashing into the wall behind him, his gun falling in the process. Miss Steel grabbed it before he could and proceeded to crush it with her bare hand.
