In Toomes' warehouse, Schultz was practicing out the shocker gauntlet, trying to get a hand of it, and could even punch an entire van with the force of his punch. Meanwhile, Mason was at his work table. He had clutched onto the new weapon he was making when the table wobbled from the force Schultz caused with his gauntlet.
He sighed, annoyed, glancing up at Toomes, who stood next to him, perching against his desk. "I can finish th next order, but without any new materials from that truck..." he said.
"Ugh, damnit," Toomes murmured, stressfully rubbing his hand against his forehead, "We still have enough to do the Gargan deal though, right?"
"Yeah, but then that's it," Mason told him and Toomes stood there, stroking his chin in thought, "Oh, maybe it is time that I build the high-altitude seal."
"Would you shut up about that?" Toomes asked as Schultz made his way over to the two.
"It's only one job."
"No."
The two men just stared at him as he thought, and they could practically feel the anger radiating off of him.
"Four years..." he finally said, "Four years, not a word from the Feds, nothing from those Halloween-costume-wearing bozos up there in Stark Tower. And then all of a sudden, this little bastard in red tights and his girlfriend show up and they think they can tear down everything I've built. Really?" He shrugged, sighing as he made the final decision. "I'm gonna kill him. And if she gets in my way, I'll kill her in front of him before killing him. I'm gonna find him—"
"I found him," Schultz suddenly said.
Toomes glanced back at him to find him pointing at the nearby TV. He looked at the TV to find that the news showed Spider-Man at the Washington Monument, along with Lidianna Lokisdottir.
MAN-SPIDER CLIMBS WASHINGTON MONUMENT ACCOMPANIED BY AVENGER, LIDIANNA
"Spider-Man swooped in, with the help of Avenger Lidianna Lokisdottir, heroically saving an Academic Decathlon team from Queens. The identity of the masked hero is still unknown."
As he watched the news, Toomes' expression was unreadable as he studied the screen in deep thought.
After four long hours, the Midtwon bus arrived back at Midtown High School, the dark sky looming over them with parents lined up outside to meet their children. But as the bus slowly stopped, a sleeping Emma did not move, clearly so mentally exhausted from the past couple of days.
Peter didn't want to wake her up but knew she would be fine and would be able to go to sleep once she got home. With a smile, he leaned down and pressed small pecks on her cheeks, trying to kiss her awake. And after the second one, he felt her move, lightly whining under her breath with her brows furrowed.
"Emma..." he whispered in her ear, "Time to wake up..."
She fluttered her eyes open and glanced up at him confused before looking out the window, finding they were back at the school. She forced herself to straighten up, her eyes glimmering in trying to find her mom. And when her teammates began to get up and off the bus, she quickly got up, grabbing Peter's hand as she went. The two walked together off the bus, where they found all their teammates tightly hugging their parents. It was dark and hard to see, but Emma still tried to find the woman with golden blonde hair and dark blue eyes.
"Kids!" Emma and Peter's attention was quickly turned towards Aunt May, who was running towards them. Emma smiled at her right before she embraced the two, tightly wrapping her arms around the teenagers. "Are you guys okay?"
