21: Refining Confidence

                  Constant cheating and lies back in the days made me question my worth; gladly my parents are always there to support me in ways they can.

                   It's 10:19 am, the weather is cloudy and it's going to pour down anytime soon for sure. However it can't stop me from my plan; I will meet him today no matter what.

                   I am wearing the outfit I have chosen yesterday. Black tight chanel pants, loose v-neck white blouse with buttons from the same brand that I neatly tucked inside my jeans and my favorite 16" minimalist cartier necklace and some rings on my fingers. I put on light make-up to seal the look. I faced my life-size mirror to check on my entire look. I feel satisfied and confident as well.

                   I need to hurry before this confidence level boils down I'd turn into my coward self again. I grabbed my purse and exit my apt. building. I was fishing through my purse to see if I didn't forget anything essential. I see my wallet, phone and...

                   [Bumped]... I bounced back a little, shocks!! That was pretty hard. "Hi Aevey!" He smiled at me gorgeously while scratching his head a little trying to ease himself. Oh-oh! Not a good timing Gregg. -"Hi Gregg!" I can't deal with you right now. I didn't tell him that though. "I just wanted to see you and hopefully hang... out? But it seemed that you're up to something." He eyed me up, from tip to face. "You look nice and uhhh..." His eyes are sparkling. He's making me nervous and anxious. -"And what? Is there something bad I wasn't able to see?" I folded my hands over my chest as I inquired. "No, no, there's none. You look beautiful! That's all." He told me that eye to eye. I kind of feel the heat rushing up to my cheeks but I can't be distracted right now.

              -"Good, thanks! But I'm catching up with an old friend today so you're kind of in a bad timing." I said honestly. He looked hot today my inside self is drooling; his only wearing a casual fit grey t-shirt and a jean pants. I suddenly felt hot inside my core. Yikess, what's up with you Aevey, my heart begins to pump hard I'm afraid he could hear it from the outside. -"I need to go now, see you some other time Gregg sorry!" He just nodded and I walked in haste.

                      I arrived at the address Archy said. It's a beautiful restaurant downtown. I got in and looked around to search for him. The place isn't so big so it shouldn't be hard to spot him. I see a man sitting alone at the farthest corner and has the same physique as his. I can't clearly see from afar so I walked towards the man to confirm. His body is facing the wall doing something over his phone; I could only see his side. Then a woman approached him and he gave her a hug and motioned her to sit in the chair he opened for her. It's not Archy.

                 I continued to look around and there's no sign of him. I decided to approach the information desk. -"Hi sir! May I ask if someone in the name of Archy Gustav Walle made a reservation here for today?" "Oh yes, but I'm afraid he left almost 2 hours ago. But he left you this." He handed me a sealed envelope. " He instructed us that you can have anything you want from the menu and it will be up to his name." That lier, I can't believe he manipulated me again. I can't believe I fell in his trap again. -"Thank you but there's no need for me stay here." I walked out of the restaurant holding the envelope he left. I wanted to cry but I can't let him do this to me. I breathed deep to calm myself and I went back to my apt in defeat.
