Gregg's POV
I was not expecting her to react that way. I didn't know where it was coming. It's not my intention to disrespect her. Now I might lose her and she hated me again. What the f*** were you thinking Gregg?
I sped up as soon as she stepped out of my car. I wasn't able to say anything to her afraid that I might make the situation even worse. I'll just give her time hoping she wouldn't hate me that much to the point of leaving me out of her life.
Now I realise how coward I was for not apologising to her. She was right, I shouldn't have asked her that when I am still not free from the marriage sh*t. "Fu*kc,. fu*k,...fuu*ck..fu*k!" I cursed myself for screwing things up. I need to go somewhere to appease my mind. I still haven't got replies from all the investors I've contacted so far although we got few small building contracts but still not enough.
I went to a bar downtown and ordered the strongest proof of alcohol they have I don't care what it is. I want to temporarily escape the reality of this world. But I guess no matter where I go, there's this one reality that would trail after me; that I might completely lose the one that made my life meaningful. That I might lose her.
I could feel myself heating up and I couldn't clearly hear the surrounding. The bar is closing too so I need to go. It's already dawn and I'm slightly dizzy from the sleepiness and obviously from the alcohol but I could still drive. I tried to walk as steadily as possible and assessed myself if I can still make it home.
I walked as fast as possible to where my car is. My chest is heaving trying to compensate with the speed of my strides. I fished my pocket for the keys and few more quick strides I... (Thud!) The sound of my body as I slipped and hit the ground; my head hit with something hard and sharp. "Oww..." I groaned in pain but I could feel myself drifting to sleep. No, no, no. Stay conscious Gregg or you will die out here in cold; you still didn't make things right for her. But my body is doing differently with my mind. And all I could see is darkness........

Witness POVThe parking area is dim-lit but I can see from afar there are still 2 cars left with me. As I walked closer to where my car is I can see someone lying behind what I assumed is his car. He must have passed out from drunkenness. But I could see pool of blood. "Shi*t!" I quickly ran to where the body is and called emergency. I located his pulse and good thing he is still alive but unconscious. I stayed with him until the ambulance came but I didn't dare move him. He is loosing a lot of blood. They quickly brought him to the hospital, I was ordered to follow them although I was also dying to get some rest but for the sake of my innocence, I obliged. They searched his stuffs for identity. The hospital staff immediately called the attention of his parents as he was completely identified, good for him he comes from a well known family.
I was questioned from where I found him and other relevant stuffs. Gladly I wasn't held for further questioning but was asked to give my personal ID and contact number in case they need it. I didn't do anything wrong or not guilty of anything so I wasn't bothered by their questions. It didn't take long though and I was free to go.
I felt sorry for the man, he must have seriously injured himself. He has hit his head with a solid and sharp rock. Must be the reason for his concussion. I didn't wait too long as I was already tired for sleep.
