*Jack's POV*
I really was not up for this walk that everyone wanted to go on. But I agreed because I did not want to stay home alone.

I was tired and that's all I could think about well I walked. The more I thought about it the heavier my body seemed to get. I didn't know how much more I could take. At this point I might as well just lay here and take a nap.

*Rye's POV*
I kept glancing at Jack out of the corner of my eye. He was falling behind quite a bit and he hasn't said a word since we've left. He looked absolutely shattered.

I slowed down waiting for Jack. He didn't even seem to really notice me. He looked so lost in thought. So tired. I knew he had wanted to stay home but I also knew he hated being home alone. He always has. He made sure everytime people would leave that he wasn't alone. The one time we did leave him alone cause he was sleeping, we came home to him crying.

Ever since then I've wanted to protect him. Seeing that vulnerable side of Jack made me feeling something I couldn't explain. Seeing him like this now made that something hurt a little.

"Jack?" I said quietly not to draw attention from the rest of the boys. He jumped but then looked over at me. "W-where are we?" he asked. "I don't know. Somewhere in the woods though," I said and he looked down. "I-I want to go home," he stuttered out quietly. "Were still awhile away from home. If you turn back now you could get lost, especially since you haven't been paying attention," I said.

"You don't understand. I-I'm so tired and it's making me not feel good," he said and I looked over at him. He did look somewhat sick. I stopped and so did he. I put my hand on his cheek. He instantly leaned into it closing his eyes. I moved my hand wiping some of his hair out of his face that had fallen from the humidity.

"I'll carry you, come on," I said. He thought about it for a second and then agreed by just nodding. He was probably too tired to think about it.

I helped him onto my back and he held onto me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders and his legs around my waist. He almost immediately put his head down on his arm nuzzling his nose into my neck.

I was I could see him right now. I could just imagine how adorable he looked. "I'm pretty tired," I yelled up at the other boys, "You guys continue you one and Jack and I are going to go home." I heard a couple okay's and the turned walking back the way we came.

It was pretty easily walk home, a bit longer then what I would have liked but the thought of how peaceful Jack looked kept me going. Even as he grew limp around me, it never bothered me. As long as he was comfortable and safe, that's what mattered. I got home and walked inside and went straight upstairs. I walked right past Jack's room and went straight into my room.

"Jack, baby?" I asked and he just buried him head into me further, "I need you to wake up so I can set you down."

"I don't want to," Jack said. "Were home now and were already upstairs. All you have to do is get down and lay down," I told him. He sighed and sat up and I carefully set him down. He was pouting and it made him look even more adorable. I kissed the tip of his cheek before laying down. Jack instantly crawled in next to me.

"I want to stay here Rye," he said. "That's why I brought you here baby," I said and he smiled cuddling into me almost instantly falling back asleep.
