Louis and I had been driving for about a half hour. We were only like 2 and a half hours away from home now.
“So are you still friends with Teegan?” he asked not taking his eyes off the road
Teegan had been my best friend since we were about 10. She has lived right next door to us since she moved to Doncaster fromManchester9 years ago. Teegan and I are like sisters. She knows basically everything about my life and I know everything about hers. She is away at college so I don’t get to see her as much as I use to, but she comes home every so often.
“Yeah, shes at school though, so unless she’s home visiting you wont have to see her”
Teegan and Louis didn’t exactly get along. During the whole fight thing Teegan took my side and basically told Louis off. They said a lot of things to each other and I know Teegan held a grudge against him.
“I actually wouldn’t mind if shes home. I kind of wanted to apologize to her. I was really mean and I don’t that mad easily so I was really hard on her” he confessed
“Well I’ll text her to see if she’s home, but I can’t say she will be happy to see you. She’s not exactly your biggest fan”
“Well I’ll just have to use my charm and change her mind!”
I laughed and then Louis said “Speaking of Tomlinson charm, I saw you and Zayn talking”
He then took one hand off the wheel and gave me a little nudge in the shoulder.
“I have no clue what you are talking about” I said trying to hid the smile on my face.
“Oh really? I think you do, I even hard about it from Danielle and Alyssa”
I started to blush.
“Someone is smitten you little kitten.” He joked
“We’re just friends” I told him
“Oh yes. just like Harry and I?” he said
“Well that could go either way, Larry Stylison”
He busted out laughing when I said that.
“You’re not gonna be mad are you? Because that’s the last thing I want right now. We are finally getting back fixing the problems between us and I don’t want anything to come between it” I said after a few minutes
He looked at me and said “Does he know?”
I gulped. “No. We are taking it really slow, I don’t want to sare him off and throw a bunch of drama in his face. I told him part of the story. But I only told him the part about me and you”
“Well I personally think that you shouldn’t wait to long before you tell him. I mean it is your choice but that’s just what I think” he said
I was worried. How would he react? It’s a lot of things to throw on a person that you have had one date with. It wasn’t that I was ashamed of what had happened, I got over that a long time ago. It was everything that came with it. How everything happened and all the issues that have come since then.
“Don’t stress about it. I can tell you are. You’re playing with your hair” he said pulling my arm down from my curls.
“Its only been one date. We are having a second soon. I told him I wanted to go slow and he said that was fine, but this is a lot to tell him.” I took a breath and continued “I like him Louis. What if he isn’t okay with it?”
We were stopped at a red light. He looked at me and said “I know Zayn likes you. He told me earlier. I told him to go for it because you had the same look in your eyes that he did. And honestly Zayn will be understanding when you tell him. He will listen to you. He won’t freak out, I know him too well. I think he will surprise you”
The light turned green and we started moving again. “Now on more serious note. We have been in the car for an hour. We are we not singing to the radio?” he said
I reached over and turned up the volume and we sang along to the songs.
Louis was right. I shouldn’t worry. When it happens it happens and I will deal with it. For now I should just enjoy it.
I changed the station and head to beat of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ starting to come through the speakers.
Louis reached his hand up to change it but I pushed it away “I love this song!” I told him.
“Oh my god me too!” he said mocking me!
“You’re insecure! Don’t know what for” I sang along with Liam’s voice.
“You’re tuning heads when you walk through the door or or” Louis snag
We were dancing in our eats singing along to the song like freaks. But that was typical Tomlinson behavior.
When the song ended Louis yelled “Half way home!”
I took out my phone and saw that I had a few texts. One was from Zayn telling me to have a safe trip home. The next text was from Alyssa saying Zayn has been talking about me to her and Danielle! And that its ‘so adorbs’.
The last text was from Stan. It read “What time are you gonna be home? I have plans tonight.”
“Is he serious!?” I said out loud. I typed back ‘we are half way home. Should be home by 5:30’
Louis gave me a questioning look. I say that Stan had already texted me back ‘if it gets to late my dad is gonna drop everything off later’
I didn’t respond. When we got to the red light I showed Louis the text. I heard him groan. “I’ll just drive fast. That way we get there earlier and Mr. Lucas wont have to drop anything off. And you will not have to argue with Stan” he said
We drove off.
‘Only an hour and a half till we are home’ I thought to myself.
