Later that night I head my mom walk in from work. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was already 5:30 PM.

“Mom!” I yelled coming down the stairs with Cole on my side.

“Kitchen” I heard her yell back.

“So change of plans this weekend” I said when I finally approached her

She gave me a questioning look as she turned around.

“I’m going toLondonthis weekend, I’m gonna stay at Louis’s” I told her

“Okay, what about Coleton, because I am working”

“He’s coming withme.” I explained

She took a deep breath and then looked at me. Taking a seat next to me and responded “Why are you taking him there? Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?”

“Teegan wants to see both of us. Plus I want to tell Zayn so I want to go this weekend. Plus Louis told me it will be fine. He has become very close to Coleton this week.”

She smiled and said “Well I am happy that you are going to tell Zayn, he seems like a fine boy. And you’re brother has been great with Cole. I think hes trying to make up for lost time.”

We talked a little bit more before Louis came in the kitchen. Cole got off my lap and ran right over to Louis. Bending down, Louis picked Cole up in his arms held him.

“Louis did your father call you?” mom asked

“Yeah that’s actually why I came down here. He wants to have a brunch tomorrow with Leah, Cole and I.”

I looked up at where Louis was standing and my eyes got wide. “He wants Cole and I to come?” I questioned.

Louis nodded and explained how we were going to go on our way toLondontomorrow.

I was surprised. My dad and I had been very distant the past few years. My dad was always into sports and loved that Louis and I played football. When our parents started arguing and they seporeated, the only time I really saw my dad was at my sporting events, it was like that was the only time that he cared about me. But that all stopped when I had to tell him that I was giving up football.

Flash back: a little more than 2 years ago

I walked up to the door at my dad’s apartment. I had only been here once since he and my mom had separated. My parents had been fighting so much that my dad had moved out and they were trying to work on things. I knew that coming here to tell him this wouldn’t be much help in the patching up.

With shaking hands I knocked on the wooden door. It soon was opened by my dad with an unexpected look on his face. He ushered me in and closed the door. “I need to talk to you” I told him as I hung up my coat next to the door.

He led me to the couch in the very plain room and we sat down. “What’s up” he said

I took a deep breath and said “I know you’re not happy about the news I had to tell you before” I said speaking about when I told him that I was pregnant. “But I came here to tell you that it’s my choice. I’m giving up football”

He looked at me sternly and said “So that’s it! You’re gonna throw away your dreams like that! You’re gonna take away everything you have worked for, just for this! What about all of those teams and coaches!”

I cut him off and said “It’s my choice! I am having this baby and I am going to raise this baby! Its more important to me than football.”

“But you worked for everything and you are now going to just throw it all out! That’s ridiculous! All of this time you were gonna go so far in life and now, nowhere!” he yelled

“Don’t tell me what to do! I’m sorry that you are more into my sports than I am! It’s not my dream that I am throwing away, its yours” I yelled back standing up.

“At least my dream for you was something! Not a teen mom!” he said when I was almost at the door to walk out

I turned around and yelled “I’m sorry I can’t be the perfect daughter you wanted. But my child will not be a regret like you are acting like it is. This is my choice and I was just letting you know before everyone else found out that I am turning my offers down.”

As I was walking out I heard him say a few more things about how I was ‘throwing my life away.’ I just kept walking and slammed the door on my way out.

End of flashback

Ever since then my dad and I had been really gotten along. During my pregnancy my parents had filed for divorced and since I was living with my mom, my dad didn’t make any effort.

He had apologized after our parents got divorced the following year but it wasn’t sincere. When I did see him, it was small talk, and it was forced. But maybe it wouldn’t be as bad because Louis was with me now.

I agreed to go tomorrow and hoped that it would be okay.

After dinner I walked into my room and saw that I had a few texts. I looked and saw that some where from Teegan about possible plans and I had one from Zayn that read ‘Counting down the days’.

I wasn’t sure if I should tell him that I am coming this weekend, or if I should surprise him. I decided on texting him that I was coming and 2 seconds later my phone was ringing.

“That was fast” I said when I answered

“Sorry, I just wasn’t expecting that. Are you really coming?” he asked excitedly

“Yeah, I’m visiting one of my friends, but I am staying at Lou and Harry’s”

“Awesome! When are you gonna be there?” he asked and I could tell he was smiling

“We are leaving tomorrow. Your coming Saturday or Sunday?”

“Umm well defiantly Saturday now!” he said

We talked for a little bit before I had to go “Text me or call me Saturday so I know when your going to get in” I told him

“Of course. You’ll be the first one I see”

“Okay, well I’ll let you go now, I don’t know about you but im really tired from a long day in the rain”

“Oh really? That’s funny because I am too. Yeah I was with this amazing girl” he told me

“What was she like?” I asked kiddingly

“Beautiful, brown curly hair, the most amazing smile and even better eyes. Oh and her football skills are wicked”

“I’ll have to meet her someday”

“Yeah you will. She’s one of a kind” he said in his deep accent

“Okay will I’m gonna go now. Text me when you get in!”

“I will. Take care” he said, just the same thing he said when he kissed me earlier.

I hung up the phone and feel asleep thinking about Zayn, how excited I was to see him tomorrow, how sweet he has treated me, and how amazing it would be if we can get past this weekend and still be the same way.
