Kabanata 9
Disgusting
The idea that all men are created equal is nothing but bullshit.
I mean, look at this creature in front of me.
"Where are you assigned tonight?" Sir Killian asked casually, as I moved quietly around him.
Hindi naman na siya nagsalita pa matapos, but his eyes were brooding and calculating as they followed my every turn.
Wala naman na siyang ibang ginawa kundi tumayo lang ng tuwid while I tip-toed through my work.
His height was too much against my 5 feet 2!
I took a step back when I was sure I did my job well.
The type who we'd know, in a glance, is treated differently and regarded highly, compared to common faces who can barely make it through the day.
But the man only raised an eyebrow in response, while still adjusting his sleeve. I twisted my lips at him. I may fail at reading facial expressions, but this man can be domineering even through a simple look.
"Have you packed? We are leaving after the party," paalala niya, nakadungaw sa akin. "You should give me your phone number, so I can call you."
His eyes were intense as he stared at me.
"Then how should I contact you when I am ready to leave?"
He stared at me seriously for a minute.
"Around 8, then," he answered dismissively.
Ang aga naman... I wanted to comment, pero wala ako sa lugar para doon, so I just nodded at nagpaalam na ulit.
But judging from the noises reverberating through the walls going to the kitchen, ay mukhang punung-puno 'yon.
