10:31 P.M.
Dane storms back into the bar with a purpose, heading straight towards where I sit- now beside the loner who sat staring at me since I came down here with Dane. I knew it was risky, but I couldn't help myself. I still can't get over Dane inside some other female- whether or not it was a "punishment" for her. Sex is sex is sex to a guy!
"Let's go, Jenalyn Victoria." Dane growls before he even fully makes it over to me. I try to keep the innocent smile on my face, though my insides shake knowing what he's capable of when he gets mad at me. So many times since the night he tried to pimp me out, I've seen him almost shift back to that Dane again. The 'Jenalyn Victora' is a telltale sign of it... he means business.
But the same voice in the back of my head earlier telling me I need to do the same thing to him? It won't let me budge. I just turn back to the loner guy, who said his name was Noah, and raise the shot I allowed him to buy me. Snickering, he eyes Dane and raises his shot to his own lips. My heart races in my chest as the alcohol races down my already burning throat. I'm snatched from the bar stool before I can even finish, leaving the remainder of the shot spilling down my chin and onto the floor.
"HEY!" I hear Noah shout, before the scraping of a bar stool and the stomping of feet on the ground. "Let her go!" Dane stops in his tracks, loosening the painfully tight grip he held on my upper arm and letting out an amused but so very annoyed laugh.
"You want me to let you go, baby girl?" he lowers his head to ask, his eyes burning into mine in a way that makes my muscles give up fighting, already knowing they'll lose.
I really do want him to let me go. I don't wanna have to go to the room with him right now! I know how he gets, and I know there's a strong chance I'll get a little ass whooping for my actions displayed here tonight.
But at the same time, I know there's a chance I won't.
I know I'm different than the other girls. He doesn't like to hurt me, even though I push his limits...a lot. But nine outta ten times, I'm good. I've never taken it this far before, but it's a risk I gotta take to prove this voice in the back of my mind correct.
"No," I mumble, still reluctant under the embarrassment the whole ordeal has inevitably caused me. In my peripherals, I see Noah still step toward Dane. Dane just laughs again.
"Say it louder, so big man here can hear you." He demands, tightening his grip on my arm again.
"No!" I say between a clenched jaw, trying hard to keep my face from showing the pain and fear running through my body. "No, I don't want you to let me go... take me back to our room, please..."
Noah backs down, and Dane doesn't think twice before turning around and leading me down the hallway, to the elevator without another word.
