The way I wrote about your reincarnation/rebirth makes no sense. But it's a story so oh well:)

You ran after your best friend, only to painfully crash into her leg.

"Ouch! What's wrong?"

Ana looked at you tiredly. She was annoyed you disrupted her discoveries. You rubbed your neck sheepishly,

"I felt someone grab me in the tomb. I checked around the first time thinking it was you, but it obviously wasn't so I ignored it. Then I heard a whisper"

If this were any other case, she wouldn't have believed you. Your features paled underneath the glow of her flashlight. Something just told her, you weren't lying. Ana proceeded to wrap an arm around your figure, rubbing your back in a comforting manner,

"Hey, it's okay. It's over"

Ana thought to herself. Whatever it was, scared you so bad. It began to scare her. You were known for being tough. The type who's always determined and always confident.

she took a brief pause before speaking,

"Do you think it was the pharaoh?"

You glanced up after wearily eyeing the opening to the pharaoh's grave,

"Yes"

Ana looked at you. She didn't want to push on, but she needed answers,

"What did he say to you?"

You took a brief pause, contemplating whether or not to tell her. It was one thing that she believed you, but would she really believe you if you told her what he said? You realized maybe you had blown the situation out of proportion. You sighed heavily before answering,

"N-nothing. I'm just exaggerating"

Ana didn't believe your words. She knew something was up, but she decided to leave it alone. Seeing how shaken up you were, the girl decided you'd stay in the queen's tomb, reading symbols and carvings while she went back up in the pharaoh's tomb.

"Okay", you said, before gathering your bearings.

You couldn't help but frown.

'It was probably nothing and I'm out here crying like a little bitch' you thought.

Staying in the Pharaoh's tomb seemed to have had affected your emotions. You went from being upset to downright frightened. Perhaps, you had been allowing your compassionate side to take over too often. You really didn't know what it was.

You decided tomorrow you'd spend the day in the pharaoh's tomb to get over your paranoia. You were determined to get over it. You've always been a fighter and you always would be.

Little did you know, a certain pharaoh released a slight chuckle at your reaction. He was certain you were the exact same queen he once married. To him, you looked just as beautiful as you did the very first day you met him.

And so, you proceeded with your findings in the queen's tomb. Her tomb had been filled with all kinds of artifacts. She even had a cat! It spiked your curiosity. You had always been in love with cats. Looking closely, you took note of the animal's corpse. It was delicately wrapped. You concluded the feline must've meant so much to her.

In her tomb, you found letters. You bowed slightly, paying your respects, before opening them up. You read each individually. They were all so engaging. The pharaoh constantly wrote letters to his queen even though they were literally in the same palace. You wished you knew what that type of love felt like. In a sense, you felt like they were made for each other. Butterflies coursed through your belly the more you thought about it. Your heart swelled with passion. Why did you suddenly feel like this?

Glancing at the queen's sarcophagus, you observed the intricate designs it displayed. She must've been very powerful. The answer to your question had provided upon the sight of a sword. You touched the steel, feeling its cold temperature cool your warm skin. You shivered. It felt almost as if you had seen it before. The wall next to the sword displayed a storyline of how the queen fought for her king. You smiled softly. She was the royal guard. The more you thought about it, the more you felt influenced by her life. She reminded you of yourself. You rummaged through your bag, getting ready to open her sarcophagus.

You pulled your gloves on, making sure the stretchy material did not rip, before sliding her sarcophagus open. You peered around, a bit confused. Her corpse was nowhere to be found! You furrowed your brows in contemplation. Why wouldn't her corpse be in here? Did someone take it? You concluded no one had been in the tomb. It made no sense to take the queen's body and leave all of her belongings. You walked around, coming to the theory that maybe, just maybe, she hadn't been buried.
You turned back to the sarcophagus before sliding the rest of its cover off. As you looked deeper into her grave, all you managed to find was a Millennium piece. Your eyes widened at the sight before carefully picking it up. You've heard about these pieces. There were seven in total. Some believed there to be eight. Six were found but one was missing. You examined the piece. It was made of gold, exhibiting the eye of Horus. Could this have been the rumored millennium maiden ring? Suddenly, it began to radiate a gold light in the palm of your hand. You stared at the ring, feeling connected to it.

'What's happening?'

Ana came back into the room dancing excitedly. Upon her entrance, the light quickly dimmed. You looked at her, feeling slightly disturbed by her dance,

"What's wrong with you? Got ants in your pants?"

She giggled,

"I found the seventh-millennium item!"

She rushed over to show you the Millennium Puzzle pieces. In all of their glory, they flickered alongside the Millennium item you held. A few flickers of light went off before the glow faded. You looked at her confused,

"I thought this was the seventh item?"

You brought the ring closer. She gazed at the ring astonished,

"Could it be that that's the rumored piece everyone spoke about?"

You both looked at each other with amazement,

"Oh, my Ra! This is amazing!"

Before packing the items to bring to your superiors, you and Ana bowed down to the king and queen's sarcophagi as a sign of respect. Ana decided to leave the millennium puzzle pieces in the grave of the pharaoh. She suggested you'd check them out whenever you had the time.

You would surely both make a fortune from your discoveries. That wasn't exactly why you were happy though. You were happy because you were one step away from finding the pharaoh's name. At least, that's what you thought. He would finally get to pass into the afterlife, as he should. You smiled to yourself. You quickly packed your supplies, following after your best friend,

"I'll invite you to dinner today. Thank you for helping me"

You hugged your best friend,

"It was no problem!"

As you both paid your respects one last time, you walked out of the tomb sites, calling a taxi. Ana called her superior, explaining the situation before he quickly sent guards to protect the site. You would both return tomorrow and continue on your future endeavors.

Little did you both know, a certain spirit smiled to himself. He had finally found his beloved. It was now time to help her remember her past life.
