Note: Letters is not an Egyptian lullaby. Letters is a song by Utada Hikaru that I constantly incorporate into the story because I thought it was perfect for it:)

After the conversation with your king, you sat down, quietly cleaning off some carvings. You sensed his comfortable presence watching you. Although it was silent, the atmosphere in the room felt welcoming.
You decided to sing for him, in hopes to please him.
'Here we go' you thought.
You gently allowed a few notes to float around the room. Your voice echoed, skimming the walls with its sound.
The Pharaoh gazed at you with amazement. He recognized the song as you had previously sung it for him. He had a memory of your voice, but hearing it in all its glory made him feel at peace. Its beautiful tone serenaded him. So sweet, so gentle. He couldn't remember the day you sang it or where, but he did remember hearing you sing. The night before, he had actually sung for you as you fell asleep.
He felt relieved that he was able to hear your angelic voice. The king thanked the gods that you had taken the puzzle home. Although he was happy, he was also upset. The pharaoh couldn't help but allow a frown to take over his features. He wished he could feel your skin. Of course, he had managed to caress you each and every chance he got, but he couldn't feel you. The king glanced up, taking note of how you effortlessly ended the song. He stared at you, clearly impressed,
"Thank you for singing for me my love. It was our song."
You looked in the direction of his voice,
"It was our song??"
"Yes,"
The king eyed you before realizing you did not fully have your memories back,
"All I remember is, you had written that lullaby for me"
You turned around, grinning from ear to ear,
"Damn. I'm one smart woman"
The pharaoh released a deep chuckle in reply. He allowed a small smile to caress his features before murmuring to himself,
"You truly are."
As soon as you finished cleaning the pharaoh's tomb, you pulled out the millennium maiden ring to polish. Dirt and grim carefully uncovered the gold. You silently worked on the ring, until a sudden wave of fatigue hit you. You leaned onto the wall, scrunching your eyes closed before knocking out.
*Memory*
From below the balcony, the kingdom cheered for you and the pharaoh. The king watched you, making sure you were distracted, before pulling out the Millennium maiden ring,
"My love"
You spun around, glancing at your husband,
"Yes, my king?"
He gently grasped your hand, sliding the ring onto your finger,
"My father gave me this ring and now it is yours. With these Millennium pieces, we will wield the power to conquer evil"
You smiled brightly,
"We will do this together"
