As soon as the pharaoh spoke, a sudden light began to illuminate the walls in the tomb. You wobbled back. Squinting your eyes, you tried looking for your king. Before you could reach out to him, a sense of nostalgia hit you. Memories of your past life quickly flashed before your eyes. You grasped the wall, trying to hold yourself up. All of your memories flew by in an orderly fashion along with some new ones. Very faintly, you made out the last few. You couldn't believe what you had seen. Bakura had killed you! In the midst of chaos, letters began spelling themselves out. They glowed, displaying the word,
'Atem'
You tested out the name in your conscious. It felt natural.
You finally had all of your memories, and you finally found his name.
Your eyebrow twitched in surprise. You grew weary of your thoughts. Could this be your Pharaoh's name? You opened your eyes only to find your beloved standing over you, shaking you hysterically,
"Calixta. Calixta! Are you alright?"
You softly grasped the pharaoh's cheek before smiling,
"I'm fine my king. Or may I say",
you leaned your forehead onto his,
"Atem"
The word instantly rolled off of your tongue in perfect Egyptian. Judging by the feeling in your gut, you somehow knew it was his name. The king turned to look at you. Before he could even react, a sudden headache took over. He stumbled in place. You held onto him as he zoned out, regaining and processing every single moment from his past life. The male gazed at you blankly for a moment before smiling softly,
"My name... you found my name"
Your heart accelerated in speed as he continued to gaze at you fondly. He pressed a soft, gentle kiss onto your lips. Slowly backing up, you grabbed his hands in an attempt to lead him out of the tomb. He tightened his hold, following you out.
Stepping out of the tomb, you felt something was off. You turned around, only to find Atem standing at the tomb entrance. It seemed as if he was trying to get through. Narrowed eyes only confirmed your suspicions. The pharaoh stopped struggling against the invisible force. He sighed,
"My dearest one, I cannot leave"
You felt your blood run cold. What was happening? You were not about to leave your husband alone again. Widening your eyes in disbelief, realization came over you,
"My Love. Do you remember the enemy we had fought?"
The pharaoh's features displayed a look of disdain before he nodded. You padded across the ground, heading back into the tomb,
"It is Zorc. You cannot leave until we destroy him"
Atem furrowed his eyebrows in contemplation. Of course, he had known all along, yet, how were you supposed to destroy him? You both could've taken Bakura down, but, Zorc was another story. The pharaoh stood. His strong-minded spirit would not let him catch a break. He needed to eliminate Zorc. And he needed to save you. He pushed the negative thoughts away. No matter what, he wasn't going to back down.
Atem glanced down at the Millennium puzzle around his neck. He knew exactly what he needed to do.
The pharaoh tugged the puzzle off, chains breaking from the roughness of his pull,
