Every single memory that you had of your pharaoh replayed in your head. You knew this man better than you knew yourself. No life could ever separate the two of you. No life could ever change the way you felt for him.
Upon entering one of the Pyramids, you found the area where the Millennium pieces resided. In the aged stone, all pieces were placed, with the exception being your ring and the pharaoh's puzzle. You wearily looked at Atem, worrying it wouldn't work. The pharaoh grabbed your hands, gently pressing kisses across your knuckles in reassurance. You narrowed your eyes in determination before taking your ring and placing it into the stone. It shimmered for a second. Atem took his puzzle, giving a little prayer before placing it into its slot. The wall in front of the stone slid open, white light blinded you both briefly before displaying your friends and everyone else from your past lives. You perked upon the sight of Mana. It was incredibly blurry, but the brunette waved happily. You chuckled before turning to the pharaoh, only to find him staring at you very intently.
Startled by his assertiveness, you blushed heavily. He smirked at your reaction. It seemed even after five-thousand years he still made you flustered. Atem leaned over, gently grasping your palm. Looking deeply into your eyes, he spoke,
"Are you ready my love?"
You smiled warmly. Those beautiful eyes never failed to make you happy. The pharaoh grasped your chin before wiping away the tears you were unknowingly shedding. You felt fulfilled, almost as if you had accomplished your goal in saving the pharaoh. You also felt as if you had accomplished your destiny. That was your only wish. For him to be safe and sound.
He slid his hands around your waist, gently massaging your skin.
He knew exactly how you felt.
When it came to you, Atem didn't need to speak as often. He knew you understood exactly how he felt. He, himself, wanted to cry because of how much he loved you. He finally reunited with the love of his life after years and years of waiting. All he ever wanted was for you to be safe from any danger, and from any man in all honesty.
He was your savior.
Atem gently placed his head on top of yours, letting you take as much time as you needed. You cupped his cheek before looking up into those amethyst orbs,
"I'm ready"
You both looked back, vividly remembering your lives. Turning to face you, Atem gave you a genuine smile before grasping your hand. Quietly, you both stepped into the white glow, allowing it consume your figures. For a second, you stood in time, wondering what was happening. It felt as if you were restoring your energy.
You saw your foot cross over before looking down at your body. A sudden bump on your stomach blocked your view. You examined your belly before gasping.
You were pregnant!
You stood in your royal attire. Touching your head, you felt the golden crown you had once worn. Looking to the side, you spotted Atem in his own attire. With his head cocked to the side, he was clearly amused by your lack of answer. He stepped closer, gently placing his hands on your hips. Kneeling down, he pressed a tender kiss onto your belly.
You flushed before pulling him up and passionately kissing him.
There, you grabbed his hand once more, and fully crossed into the afterlife.
