Note: There will be some steamy content in this chapter. Nothing too serious but pls be cautious:)You headed back into the office, grabbing the millennium pieces with your bare hands. Mana watched as you began to solve it. She stood up to grab a few artifacts that she needed to clean off.
You decided to strike up a conversation,"So, which name are you going by now? Ana or Mana?"
The girl smirked. She knew you would tease her over this,
"Whatever you think is best, you may call me my queen"
You laughed, allowing your features to relax,
"Mana, we're best friends. We live in a modern period. There's no need to call me 'queen' anymore"
"Calixta, you are still my queen. Also, the pharaoh would be disappointed if I didn't"
You shook your head, thinking of your beloved. Yes, you didn't have all of your memories, but you did remember your husband's personality, and he was quite stubborn. You smirked. So were you,
"It's fineee. I mean what can he do? Attack you? He's been a spirit for the past 5,000 years"
"Actually he can! He grabbed my arm to stop me from running away!"
You both chuckled at the crude comment. Instantly, the chilly atmosphere began to gnaw at your joints.
Goosebumps arose on your arms from how cold you felt. A soft pair of lips pressed themselves against your ear before a dark chuckle released itself,"That is not all I can do my love."
Your eyes flashed for a brief moment. A very steamy vision came into view. Tan, slender hips thrusted against yours. Slim, lean hands delicately fondled your b-
You quickly dispersed of the vision. How could you think about your king in such a provocative manner? Why did you even recall such a memory? It was very suggestive.
Your cheeks tinted to a crimson shade. You rubbed your arms, shivering in your seat,
"Did you hear that?"
Mana looked at you dumbly,
"No. What are you talking about?"
"Never mind"
She eyed you suspiciously before shrugging.
The pharaoh took note of your flustered state. He smirked to himself. five-thousand years had taken its toll on him. He wanted to hear the beautiful sounds you once made underneath him. He wanted to feel your skin against his. In every way possible.
You spent the next few hours, trying to piece the puzzle together before you and Mana decided to call it a quits for the night. Turquoise-colored eyes watered from the yawn she released,
"I hope we can solve this soon. If you do I'm pretty sure will be able to physically see the pharaoh."
You exhaled at Mana's comment. You sure hoped you would get to see your beloved king. You wanted to see him, feel him, you just wanted to be with him.
You tucked yourself into the soft white sheets. Your mind wandered between a state of consciousness and unconsciousness. Mindlessly tossing and turning for a few minutes had managed to wear you out. Finally falling asleep, you heard a familiar lullaby. A rich, husky tone serenaded your ears with its faint humming...
The pharaoh watched as you fell asleep. You looked beautiful. It made him feel at peace that you were receiving the much-needed rest you deserved. He had managed to make himself known a few times in the apartment, only due to the fact that you had the millennium ring. Sadly, this was the only time he could leave his tomb. You were still solving the puzzle, but once it was solved, he would be forced to stay in the tomb.
Until of course, you got rid of the evil. A certain madman's spirit from the grave roamed the valley of the kings. The pharaoh would get to pass into the afterlife after the puzzle was solved, but, as a result, Zorc would be released. Although you didn't know it, he would have to tell you soon.
The king thought back to you. He acknowledged the bashfulness of your character whenever he addressed you with one of the many affectionate names he used. He allowed a soft, gentle smile to take over his features.
'Wait for me, my beloved.'
Tomorrow would be a new day.
