You fluttered your eyes opened, only to find yourself in bed. Whatever that vision was, it left you with more questions. Yet, you felt as if you had gotten answers. The Pharaoh's words echoed in your head, 'I do not remember my love. I need you to remember.'
Those 'dreams' were actually memories from your past life. You suddenly found a sort of solace in the pharaoh. Now with some of your memories coming back, you realized who he was.
He was the love of your life.
You couldn't help but frown.
You still couldn't see him. All you remembered were those captivating amethyst orbs.
How could you not remember the face of your beloved?
Your heart began to beat erratically at the thought of his voice. Faint memories flickered in your mind. Moments where you shared dances, to moments where he made love to you. Tears escaped your eyes, leaving trails of sadness in their wake. You didn't remember everything.
This is what you give to your pharaoh? This is what you give to the man who had loved you for so long?
Dark black holes engulfed your memories. Your emotions were finally hitting you, hard. You went five-thousand years without him. At the back of your mind, you had always known you felt something for him. Now, upon learning about him again, you realized you loved him immensely. You wanted to shower your king with affection, but it was still too early. Impatiently, you stood from the bed, walking around the room. You made him wait so long.
He still loved you.
With a few moments of silence, you reassured yourself. You would manage to help your pharaoh and reunite with him. Rubbing your temples, you cleared your head.
You heard the sound of footsteps scurrying across the floor. Ana came into the room with a tray of crackers and hot tea. She placed the tray aside before approaching your slumped figure,
"You don't have to tell me what's wrong, I figured it out myself. You got some of your memories back. Welcome home, my queen."
Your eyes widened at her words. What was happening? Why was she referring to you in that manner?
"Why are you calling me that? Have you known all this time?"
Ana felt her shoulders weigh her down. She grew weary. The tone of your voice indicated you were NOT happy,
"Yea... I didn't intend for this to happen though! I just thought it would be better if you found out yourself"
She pursed her lips,
"I know for a fact that I am the girl in the carving with the dark magician girl. I am Mana. I was your best friend along with the pharaoh's."
You looked down, playing with your cold hands,
"How long did you know about this?"
"I've known for a few days. The first day we had arrived, when you went to the queen's tomb, I uncovered the Pharaoh's Millennium puzzle pieces remember?
You nodded, analyzing her words. She took a pause before finally making eye contact with you,
Well, when I was in there, the pharaoh spoke to me. He told me everything and made me promise I wouldn't tell you. Now that you have it figured out, I can finally help you"
