I am so sorry, the chapters got uploaded in the wrong order. After chapter 6 it just went wild.  Anyhow, it is fixed now and as a symbol of my sincerity I give you Chapter 9.

Daniel

Daniel tapped his thumb against table waiting for his date to show up. He glanced down at his watch and saw the time was 12:10. She was 10 minutes late and he had to be back at the hospital by 1. He blew air out his nose. It was better this way anyway, less time talking with someone he had no interest in.

Get through this lunch date Daniel, and you're off the hook. You've appeased your parents and you're free. He looked outside the large glass windows, hoping to see his lunch date arriving soon so they could get this over with.

As soon as his mother and step-dad had made the plans for his so-ga-ting, Daniel knew he had to do some damage control. The best way for him to control the date was to plan the place and time. It took a lot of convincing to get her to meet for a 1-hour lunch date, but he did it. Blaming it on the fact that he had to work the rest of the week and couldn't meet any other time.

Which wasn't the reason at all, he had actually saved his prized free time to have his language exchange with Chloe. Daniel didn't even know why he had decided to reach out to her about setting up the language exchange, but he knew he needed to do something or his potential friendship with her would be lost. She was someone he felt like he needed to hold on to. It was best that they just stayed friends given how his mom was trying to marry him off. Chloe just didn't fit the plan.

He glanced away from the window and saw a petite woman walking towards him. This must be Kim Jae Hwa. His eyes immediately searched her. Damn. He internally face palmed. She was gorgeous. Her long jet black hair hung in waves to her waist and her willowy figure although, slight, held the commanding tone of a queen. She commanded attention as she made her way to him, pausing slightly just to look at her phone and then back at him. Her face broke out into a radiant smile as she got to the table.

Daniel pushed out his chair and stood up greeting her with a 'hello' and bow. She returned his bow with a slight nod, her smile never leaving her face. She was wearing a billowy white tunic dress that went down to her knees and brown flats. Her pale skin gave off just the right amount of pink hughs and warmth, making her look radiant.

Of course this would happen to him. He went around and pulled out the chair from the table for her. This may not be where he wanted to be, but his mother surely didn't raise him without manners.

"Daniel?" She sat down, "It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise," Daniel went back over to his own chair and took a seat. Upon further inspection Daniel couldn't find not one flaw. She had almond brown eyes there were wide and double-lidded, her face was perfectly sculpted in a V-line shape and her smile was bright and inviting, but she wasn't Chloe.

"Daniel-ssi!" She clasped her hands together. " I'm so happy that this worked out. I was a little nervous because of the schedule conflicts, but it worked out in the end." Her high pitched voice rang out above the lunch time bustle of the restaurant. She had a very slight accent, but it was barely decipherable.

Her energy was unlike other Korean women. He was surprised at her personality. Her voice was excited as she talked and all her emotions spilled out over her face.

"I've actually never been to this place before," she continued, while taking in her surroundings. "It's very nice here." She looked back at Daniel who hadn't uttered a single word since their first greeting.
