"Who's that? The guy with the hat"

Your question hung in the air until Aaron found who you were referring to

A teenage boy, couldn't be more than 15, a sherrif hat sat comfortably on his head, his shoulder length hair blowing gently in the slight breeze as he move down the white wood stairs onto the street, a toddler in his arms resting on his hip as he walked down the opposite side

"That's carl and Judith, ricks kids" Aaron responded, looking down at you with amusement sparkling in his blue eyes as a smile played on his lips

You could only provide him with a simple nod, continuing to watch the boy smile and talk to the little girl, her unruly curls bouncing slightly as he hoist her up

"Carl!" Aaron yells suddenly

The boy turns to face us, a smile lingering on his lips as his blue eyes light up in recognition, making his way towards you and Aaron

You couldn't help but stare at the eye patch hiding his right eye, causing you to raise an eyebrow In curiosity as he neared you

His eyes meet yours and he gives you a closed mouth grin

You look away

"Carl, this is Y/N, Y/n this is Carl" Aaron steps away slightly so your shoulders are really touching

"Hey" was all you could manage to say as you look up at the boy who was a bit taller than you, his smile grew slightly and he returns the greeting

"Nice eye patch"

You watch as his smile drops from his lips

Nice eye patch? NICE EYE PATCH?!? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONGG WITH YOU Y/N, YOU DON'T SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A GUY-

"Nice scar" he says, referring to the small scar that rests just a bit above your lip, a smile creeping into his lips again

You both laugh, Aaron smiling fondly at the two of you

That's when you knew you really like the boy with in the sheriffs hat
