Percy's pov: (eh, why not?)

Chris Rodriguez looked at us with a sinister glare. If he could see past our lie, we would be shot or impaled instantly.

"Talk? About what?" Chris said, his eyes narrowing, not fully trusting us.

"We'd like to talk about your intentions. Think about it, me and Jason, sons of Poseidon and Zeus. They haven't even bothered to speak to us," I tried for a smile. "We're asking to join The Titans."

Chris's eyes lit up. "You want to join The Titans?" He was as gullible as Frank.

Jason nodded. "It'll be an honour, Rodriguez."

"And what about your friends?" The man demanded.

I cursed in my head, I didn't realise how to pull this part off.

Jason shrugged. "Oh, them? They don't know about this, they're all either sleeping or doing something way different than this."

"Prove it." Chris snarled.

"Prove what?" I cursed again, this man was on the right tracks.

"Prove that your friends aren't in on this, call one of them." My whole body slumped, Jason looked down too.

"Which one?" I croaked out.

"The blonde one. The one that Luke always speaks about." My heart was pounding, if I called Annabeth she would straight away ask how the plan was going.

"Girl or boy? I have a lot of friends." I smirked, Jason giving me a glare.

I've got this, I mouthed to him.

He nodded, tilting his head to the side for me to carry on.

Chris smiled hesitantly. "I don't know whether it was a girl or boy. You know what? Your choice."

This guy was falling deeper and deeper into my plan.

I nodded. "I'm calling them right now. His name is Will by the way."

Chris nervously nodded. Did he know Annabeth's name?

I called Will, and after about 3 rings he answered. Percy, what the hell? I'm trying to sleep right now. The sun hasn't even come up properly! I laughed, then hung up and messaged him. Didn't want Chris to hear.

I smiled back at him. "So now do you believe us?"

Chris put on a hardened glare. "No, that wasn't- what was her name? That wasn't Annabeth."

I gulped. "We don't have Annabeth's contact." Jason lied, though Chris could see right through it.

"Stoll? You take Percy into the two chosen jails for the plan. Jason? Follow me." He was going to kill us, he was going to kill u-

"No, no, Percy. We're not going to kill you, but we will make you watch all of your friends dying. You and Jason both." He sneered, reading my mind.

My eyes widened. "You don't know where they are."

Chris laughed, sending echoes across the long forgotten walls of the warehouse. "Three of your friends are gone to meet Luke." He pointed at a screen. "Did you really think that Luke would change sides so early?"

"You said early." I raised an eyebrow. "You think Luke is going to two-time you guys?"

Chris never answered. "You're wasting my time." He pointed at a guard. "You know what to do."

I braced myself for the pain, but it never came. The guard grabbed me by my shoulders effortlessly, then proceeded to take me to 'jail' or whatever you call that.

Once we went behind a shelf, the guard stopped. He turned towards me, and took off his helmet. "Take this, pretend to be me. Then leave." He whispered.

"Uh, what?"

"You heard me the first time." His brown hair was matted down onto his face. Must be the sweat, I thought to myself.

"Who are you?"

"Connor Stoll, half-brother of Luke and full brother of Travis." His once hardened face softened into a mischievous smile.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"Well, I was forced to be here. Luke told me and Travis that we'd be safer here than at home. Which is weird because home was alright," he frowned. "Sorry, getting off track here. Once we realised who he was with, he said he'd kill us. So, I listened, so did Travis. But not any more."

I nodded, too scared of talking. "So you're helping me?"

"Way to state the obvious, yes I'm helping you. Now please, go find Travis. He's with Luke and about 6 more guards. They're going to ambush your friends."

Suddenly, I awoke from my nervous trance. "I will, but first, tell me how to free Jason."

He smiled. "I'm the son of Hermes, the guy who always manages to get out of sticky situations. Of course I have a key."

He placed a rusty steel key onto the palm of my hand. I enclosed it, then gave him a small thank you.

Putting on the helmet, and his other pieces of armour, I walked over to Chris, making sure he couldn't see my eyes.

"So Percy is in the cell?"

I nodded, giving a slight bow to pull it off. He looked at me quizzically, so I stopped. No bowing to Chris then, I thought.

"Good. Go get them both." He pointed to an opened door leading to a room, where Jason was sitting, in a small cell, with a bucket for daily business.

"What are you waiting for? Go!" He shouted, his patience wearing away by the second.

I nodded hurriedly, then went over to Jason's cell, making sure the door was closed so Chris couldn't hear.

"Hey, it's me, Percy." I whispered, lowering the helmet so he could see my eyes.

Jason stumbled back a bit. "How?"

"Long story, but come on, we need to get out of here."

"And how may we do that?"

"This room has a window, I have a sword with this armour. Badda bing, Badda boom."

Jason rolled his eyes, but still agreed to do the plan. We both jumped as high as we could, and I slashed my sword onto the window, breaking it into hundreds of pieces.

Jason got out first, and I came out second, receiving a few cuts on my hands from the glass.

"So what do we do now?"

I smiled. "Now we go find Luke."

"And kick his ass?"

"Who wouldnt kick his ass?"
