Annabeth's pov:

". . . Class dismissed, don't forget the assignment due in one week from now. You may go." Mr. Blofis called to us, the class groaned as they suddenly remembered the homework they were supposed to do.

An arm went across my shoulders. "You don't seem like yourself today, Annabeth," Percy spun me around. "What's wrong?"

I laughed, though to me it sounded fake. "There's nothing wrong, it's school. School can make the most brightest soul miserable."

Percy frowned, muttering, "that's so true."

We both sat down in the cafeteria, waiting for our other friends. "How long are they taking?" Percy asked, a bit annoyed.

I shrugged, "could've been a detention or something."

Just then, I saw the others all walking towards us, frowns on their faces. My face paled, thinking that they knew.

"What's wrong?" I asked them rather loudly, my voice was starting to break.

Once they sat down, Piper turned towards me. "I don't know why but Drew says she wants you. We told her you wouldn't come, but she said that you have to."

I sighed, not wanting to make my anger obvious. "Where is she?" I ask.

Piper frowned some more. "Back at the hallway," she then gave me a reassuring smile. "You sure you wouldn't want any of us to come?"

Percy's frown instantly brightened up. "Yeah! I could come with you, you never know what Drew is capable of."

I smiled. "We used to be friends Percy, she won't do anything to me."

Never have I lied so badly in my life.

The others didn't seem to catch on to it. "She's waiting, I should probably go."

I hesitantly walked to the door, wondering whether I should open it, or head back to my friends. I was mad to think that Drew would ever let go of me, I was mad to think that I could've kept a secret so large hidden for so long.

I opened it, only to see Drew looking at me with a disgusted face. "I'm going to tell him."

"When?" I asked.

"When you least expect it, I'll find a day where your most happy and then I'm going to tell him, Annie."

"Don't call me Annie, Drew." I muttered.

Drew looked back at me, somewhat bored. "You can go now, you're ruining my perfume."

The only thing ruining your 'expensive' perfume is your disgusting personality you plastic barbie. That was what I would have said if I had the guts. This is what I actually said.

"Of course, Drew." I then left, not even bothering to say goodbye. Then again, I was doing her a favour.

When I walked in, the others all looked at me sympathetically. "What did she say?" Leo asked.

I gulped. "Just being her rude self. You know, the usual."

Jason furrowed his eyebrows. "Yeah well, she wouldn't want to be talking to you in private. Why you . . . and not anyone else?"

I silently cursed Jason for his good inferring. "Probably because I used to be friends with her."

He made a face. "Yeah, probably. Though why you were friends with her, I don't even know."

I nodded. "Worst mistake of my life."

"Definitely." Jason added.

I laughed, though the others looked at us weirdly. I realised it too, the last time me and Jason had a conversation for so long, it had ended with us having a fight. A pretty big one too.

"What?" I asked, a small smile on my face.

Percy smiled. "Nothing."

I looked down at my plate, only to find it empty. "Hey, who ate my fries?"

Percy smirked. "They were going to get cold."

"So you ate them?" I asked him.

"I was doing you a favour Annabeth, they were soggy."

I raised an eyebrow. "Sometimes you are literally the mo-"

"You two need to shut up." Leo said, holding a fry. (Is that correct idk, I only say chips)

I crossed my arms. The bell then rang, and I got up, the others doing the same.

"What do we have now?" I asked Piper.

Piper checked her timetable, then sighed. "We have Physical Education with Coach Hedge."

I groaned. "He's going to shout at us asking why we weren't in."

Piper shrugged, though she looked uncertain. "We can always just say we were on vacation?"

I thought for a second, then nodded. "Yeah let's just do that, he won't be that mad anyway."

. . .

"VACATION?!" Coach Hedge shouted. "We were on a roll! Then out of nowhere, you blasted kids decided to run off on VACATION?!"

I nodded, holding on to my now deafened ears. "For the last time Hedge, our parents forced us to."

Coach Hedge looked ready to burst, till Grover whispered something to him. "You're lucky Underwood here is speaking up for you, now go play some dodgeball."

I groaned. "Dodgeball, Coach can't we do something more productive, like soccer?"

He grunted in reply. "Yeah well it's easy to set up, and I get to watch you guys fight, so get out there now. I'm supposed to be watching some Chuck Norris, but I have to look after you nasty lot!"

I pretended to not hear that last bit, and jogged over to the playing area. "What did he say?" Frank asked.

"He's angry, but he wasn't suspicious." I told everyone.

"Good, now let's play!" Thalia asked, the only person excited for dodgeball.

Me, Jason, Hazel and some random kids were in a team. Percy, Rachel, Thalia, Piper, Frank, Leo and a few others were on the other side. To be frank, I found that kind of unfair, though I didn't complain.

Coach blew the whistle, and we started. I threw the ball hard at Drew, and it hit her hard on the stomach. A ball came whizzing next to me, and I sidestepped to the right, the ball ultimately hitting Hazel.

"Ooh, sorry about that," I told her. Hazel smiled but then shouted, "look out!" A ball came shooting at me, and it hit me right on my head. That's going to leave a sting, I thought as I fell face first onto the hard ground.

Edit: I have no tests, no homework, just got my results (really happy with that ), and school is nearly ending.

You know what thaaaaat means?! Chapters will be more frequent (2 or 1 chapters each day), and I will be posting a lot.
