"Hey" I say as I sit next to Luke on his laptop. He quickly hides the tab he was looking at.
"Luke did that just say foster?" I ask. He looks at me.
"Look ok" he places the computer on the table in front of us and turns to face me more.
"we've been doing IVF treatments to help our chances but....reality is: we're both getting older. My career is on a break. We won't be making music for at least another year and I think now is a good time except, it's just not happening. And I hate seeing you after every failed pregnancy test. Every time you get home from a treatment I know you go into your bathroom, into that drawer of all the failed tests. It hurts. I want to give you everything you want and baby I just think it's time we look" he says. I try to take in everything he's saying. He's right.
"I- Luke." I try to think of what to say.
"This process has been so hard on me and I honestly don't know how much longer I could go. I think adopting would be great" I admit. He smiles. He leans forward and kisses me.
