Scarlett. A beautiful name indeed. Such a shame that she has to die. I went into the bedroom and took out my sword. As I got to her bed, she turned over in her sleep so I could clearly see her. She was ravishing. I couldn't stop admiring her beauty. I should have killed her right then and there but I couldn't raise my sword to do the deed. I felt a hand on my shirt pulling me out of the room and throwing me against the wall.
"What are you doing here?" Michael asked with fury in his eyes, both his swords in his hands.
"I came to liberate you brother. It seems you have fallen under the same trap as you did years ago." I said rising, perplexed at what came over me, knowing I missed my chance. I couldn't let Michael know that anything was amiss. But he came at me and knocked the sword from my hand, as he pinned me against the wall, his hand tightly around my throat. But I just smiled, unimpressed.
"You are mistaken."
"Am I?"
"Yes. Now leave!"
"I will. But first tell me how you feel about her."
"I feel nothing for her. I have no feelings for her whatsoever. I'm just being kind and letting her stay here because she has no where else to go. I pity her. That's all. I can't wait until she leaves so I can get rid of her. She is a burden to me. Nothing more. Does that answer your question?"
"Yes. Very much." I said, knowing well that he was lying.
"Good. Now leave and don't come back into the city or next time you're not going to make it out alive." Michael took the swords away from my neck and stepped back.
"It was nice seeing you again brother. It always is a pleasure. We have such lovely conversations."
"Go. Before I change my mind." I expanded my wings as I walked towards the balcony.
"I'll see you soon brother." I said as I flew off, not being able to get Scarlett out of my mind.Michael's POV
Damn it. How the hell did he get in? I need to have a talk with the angels. Train them more. This is pathetic. After finishing my thought I turned around and saw Scarlett standing at the entrance of the bedroom, with tears in her eyes. As soon as she saw me she shut the door. What did she hear? Why is she crying? I walked to the door and knocked on it.
"Scarlett?"
"Leave me alone!"
"Please open the door and let me explain."
"No. There's nothing to explain."
"Scarlett! Damn it!" I banged on the door. I could hear her crying. Her heart was racing.
"Please. Just leave me alone." She could barley speak. She was crying too hard. I sighed and left her alone feeling horrible for hurting her.
