"So it's true, when all is said and done, grief is the price we pay for love."
~E.A. Bucchianeri

"Gosh I missed you so much!"

Michael was spinning Ava around in his arms as he was kissing her. The smile on the blonde's face was as big as ever as she was finally reunited with her red haired boyfriend.

"I'm so happy you invited me and let me bring Noah and Sydney."

Michael let the girl down and smiled at her. Her blonde wavy hair and sparkling green eyes made him remember just why he loved her so much. But then reality struck him and he remembered that soon, she loving him would be over. Sometimes, it was like there was more then one person living in Michael's body. One that loved Ava and would literally die for her and one that didn't care about anything other then Luke. So as he saw Ava, his heart literally fluttered and he couldn't imagine ever not being with the perfect girl but it was far too little far too late and both sides if Michael knew that.

"Okay so let's get you settled in the hotel and then we can go hang out with everyone, sounds good?"

The three friends nodded and followed Michael to a hotel. Ava shared a room with Michael and Noah shared one with Sydney. Luckily, they were good enough friends for that to not be awkward. After they settled in and changed into some beach clothes, Michael led them to a pool behind the hotel where a bunch of people were sitting and chatting while drinking cocktails.

"Okay everyone, this is Ava and this are her friends Sydney and Noah."

Everyone looked at them from top to bottom and some people smiled while others just looked away immediately after the judging part. Ava went straight towards Ashton and the boy awaited her with opened arms.

"Hey kiddo."

As an answer she smiled at the hazel eyed boy and fell into his hug. She missed his hugs a lot.

"How's life going?"

"Well I'm in Bali on a tour with a new album out that is killing the charts and I have you here so...pretty good."

Ava chuckled and waved at Calum and Luke who were sat on the other side of the pool. She didn't have to be a detective to notice something was up with Luke as he didn't even look her in the eyes and was tugging on his lip ring so much, there was a possibility he would tore it out of his lip.

"What's up with Luke?"

Ashton looked away and muttered.

"Umm...not sure. Probably something with Arzaylea..."

Ava wrinkled her forehead. She felt Ashton was lying but it he didn't want to tell her what was really up, she respected that.

"Anyways...let me introduce you to some of our friends."

Ashton pulled Ava towards a group of people sunbathing around the pool.

"Ava this are our friends Samantha, Jordan, Connor, Layla, Crystal, Johnny and Derek."

They were all nice enough to look up, smile and wave and some even stroke up a conversation with the blonde girl. After some time, Luke, Calum and Arzaylea joined in on the conversation and Ava walked away, looking for Michael. She found him sitting on a rock, strumming something on his guitar and mumbling quietly along.

"That's sounds cute."

Michel jumped in his seat slightly.

"Oh Ava, hey. Yeah it's...um I don't know what it is yet."

Ava nodded and sat next to him and fixed her eyes on the sea in front of them.

"Do you know approximately 71% of the world is covered by the ocean but only 5% of it has been explored?"
